Thanks for the helpful info on getting a car to the port. You got there! Boarding day is always exciting to me! Your room looks perfect for one, and that price was pretty good! Thanks for taking us along on another gorgeous MSC ship!
I am taking this exact cruise out of Barcelona in a few weeks, so I'm glad to have found your channel. Was on my first MSC Cruise on Meraviglia in July and loved it. I also book the solo cabin and it suits my needs perfectly; I actually have a solo balcony for the Med cruise. Look forward to watching this entire series and see if you do any of the ship excursions I've booked. Edit: thanks so much for the info on Uber in Barcelona!
I booked a solo cabin on NCL and I tell you what, that was some of the best sleep I ever had on a cruise ship. Plus it had cool lighting in the room too. I will definitely look for the solo cabins on MSC too. Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
Brand new subscriber here. Love the video, we’re doing the same itinerary next week. We’re from Ireland and fly into Barcelona also. Regarding the casino; we were on the Seaview for a 4 nighter last year and the casino was jam packed every night, although it doesn’t fill up until after 10-11pm. And it stayed open quite late too. Anyway, looking forward to this vlog series.
What a Beautiful way to celebrate your Birthday! Happy Belated Birthday!!! 🎉 Would love to go on any cruises Mediterranean, Europe or otherwise. Definitely on my Bucket List 😊
I’m glad you didn’t go alone. That bathroom is so much better than the ones in Norwegian Breakaway’s solo cabins. The toilet had its own room...seriously small space. TMI: I had to sit with one leg outside the doorway. 😅 The shower had its own corner. The cabin was fine, though. Functional for one.
It’s been 19 years since my very first cruise and our Port was Barcelona!!! I loved our Mediterranean Cruise and I’m way overdue for another one!!!! As I recall the soft drinks did taste different. Question: How many cruise ships can you think of that offer “Solo/Studio” cabins? I’m getting my nerve’s built up to start my solo cruising? Not quite there yet. The cost you paid plus what it included seems like a really good deal!!! The flight cost was probably more? Thanks for explaining everything, your vlogs are very informative! 🤔🤔🤔 ( Happy Belated Birthday 🎂)
OMG! Was just thinking about booking a New Year’s Eve MSC cruise out of NYC on Meravigilia only $750/pp balcony. So looking forward to your vlog. I’ve heard mixed things about MSC. We usually stick with Carnival or Royal
Do it!!! You will only know if you like it if you try it! Our MSC Meraviglia series has been out since April so check it out on our channel! Send any questions my way!
@@MHFamilyAdventures Wow! Thanks! I am checking it out now. Also love your channel because you always answer to our questions and comments, thank you! ♥️
My children and I will be boarding the Meraviglia September 10th and my daughter has the single cabin as well but her's is on the aft of the ship. My son and I are sharing a balcony cabin. Our cabin is one of the ones with the funny triangle shaped balcony's. So very excited for that, my only complaint is that it is on the port side of the ship so we won't be able to see the island. Oh well you can't have everything. I have seen two video's of our cabin but I will try and send you a picture. I'll also try and send you a picture of my daughter's cabin as well. I just listened to more of the vlog and when you said this was a cruise for your 40th birthday I felt so old. My kids are older than you but still in their forties.
Thanks for sharing your experience cruising the Mediterranean. We’re going in September out of Rome (Civitavecchia) visiting Turkey, Greece, Sicily and Naples. Have a fabulous birthday 🎉
Great information! European lines do that embarkation /debarkation thing. I have done Celebrity and HAL in Europe and they don't. MSC seems complicated to me but their ships are gorgeous!
About restaurant no fee except Marketplace, are there others restaurants for breakfast and dinner and did we need to book on line or on bord ? Because it’s my first cruise and I m so excited…
No, we European’s don’t gamble like the Americans do. I spent €10 on my last cruise (MSC) for the whole trip for the slot machines (€0.08 per spin) cashed out €20 and that was a big deal. I’ve seen Americans bet more than that on one bet.
Thanks for this info. I wondered about that. And yes you are right. I sometimes bet that much 🙃. Thankfully I didn’t go in the casino much on this cruise. Thanks for watching!
