Thx for posting, and warning us about the long lines at embarkations. We will be in them, so its good to set our expectations. Looking forward to your nrxt video!
@@meanderingmandj We shall soon see. Think we are at t-minus 65 ish, for those who are sailing this Sunday...lol Looking forward to next video. All the best with the channel. No doubt you will do very well with your content and style.
Love your kitty! I have 2 and my daughter who will be on the cruise with me has 5 (she likes to call herself the crazy cat lady). We will be on our cruise September 10th. Can't wait! My son's passport came in the mail yesterday and my daughter and I already had ours.
Yep, we love our cat and dog. Honestly, one of the biggest worries for us when we go on vacation is who will look after them for us. Our son watched them during this cruise. Anyway, have fun on your cruise and thanks for commenting!
I go back in 3 months again. I know for a fact the first thing Iam doing when I get on board is go straight to specialty dining reservations bc the lines will be loooooong .
I do have some video of the pool in the pool in the very early morning before it really got nasty and they drained it. I’ve got a bunch of stuff from our balcony from later in the evening that I think shows some of the worst of it.
The short answer is yes. If you watch the part 1 video, the picture at the end shows how many spaces remained in the lot. Now this will vary from cruise to cruise. In our case, it seemed like the vast majority of the passengers did not drive themselves to the terminal.
As a local New Yorker, I would suggest that people who drive from other places find a high-end community with no street sweeping to park, and then take Uber to go there.
random weird question; i'm going on my first cruise this fall, same ship, same dock but up the east coast into canada. I was curious if you were charged any taxes while aboard the ship related to your cocktails. I heard on other cruise lines that this was happening, but when i called MSC the cust serv rep said they weren't sure, but probably not. thank you either way, and thank you for the video!!
I seem to recall them saying something about charging taxes on drinks when docked, but I am not sure. We did have a drink package, so it’s difficult to know.
Thanks for the stream. How was the passenger check-in process for the Meraviglia sailing out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on embarkation day ? The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal appears very small for such a large ship.
Hectic. We had the benefit of priority boarding due to our room and Aurea package, so it was okay for us. It still took around 40 minutes though, and the terminal was very crowded. For those without the priority boarding, it looked pretty miserable. Hopefully they can continue to improve the experience over time, because it was fantastic sailing out of Brooklyn, and I absolutely love the ship and crew. For us, it was absolutely worth it, and we’ll be back again.
I just returned from a cruise on the same ship out of Brooklyn. It has got to be the worst cruise terminal in existence. Our uber driver had no clue where to go, no signage, etc. We had Yacht Club and were on the ship in the private lounge in 10-15 min, but for others in our party that were not in the YC it took them over 3 hours to get on board. All in all the only way I'll ever do MSC is in the Yacht Club. Completely different experience and worth every penny.
You get what you pay for…we thought it was such a good deal for a balcony room but it turned that the balcony room and balcony was much smaller than other cruise lines we have been like Princess, Queen Mary and Victoria, Holland America, carnival etc. The food was a bit less than average and everyone and staff complaining about one ethnic group taking over the ship, jumping lines, shoving themselves into crowded elevators and yelling at one another…Next time we cruise we will pay more and sail on any line other than MSC
Highlights of this cruise: 1-Horrible embarkation, hundreds of people pushing their way into lines/cutting ahead of people, luggage being left in the rain, many people opened suitcases to find wet clothes. 2- A group booking of 2000 Chinese passengers who refused to line up for anything, forced their way in and out of elevators ahead of everyone, took over entire ship including bars/lounges but never ordered a drink, walking around picking their noses and tossing snot rags into hand washing sinks....absolutely disgusting group of animals. You couldnt walk the length of the buffet without 10+ of them cutting in line. There were over 50 of them kicked out of exclusive areas of the ship and even after being told they could not be there, would try and sneak back in through side entrances. 3- Buffet food was decent but I have been to rock concerts quieter than the buffet with hundreds of Chinese yelling at each other from 2 feet away. 4- Anytime dining was great service and much quieter than assigned seating (again, fewer Chinese at anytime dining), food however was mediocre at best. 5- The only redeeming part of this cruise was the amazing staff in the dining room and the bars. The 2000 strong group of Chinese ruined this cruise. Sounds racist but my dogs have better manners and they eat their own poop. Thanks God getting off the ship was quick as I couldn't stand another hour with those pigs. Parting gift was watching them duck under the security ropes to get to Customs area....cutting in front of a few more people to close out their vacation.
Just returned from a Bermuda cruise on the same ship out of Brooklyn last week. We also had a large amount of Chinese who seemed like they were in a large group. Everyone I talked to on the ship complained about their absolute rudeness and attitude like they owned the ship. No manners, no courtesy, would cut you off at any chance.
