Great video, EXCEPT your music is so LOUD when you weren't talking, it blasted me out, so I had to mute it most of the time, then turn it back on to see if you were speaking.
the best snorkeling out of all the private islands i have been was princess cay. loads of reefs right at the shoreline. we saw so many things even giant stingrays and nurse sharks. Maybe one day there will be enough reef growth for some good snorkeling.
Very good!!! I like the way you show the map gives people a really good sense of where the snorkeling is. Yeah we’re so much into snorkeling that when we bring our snorkeling gear take half our luggage suitcase
We were to visit Ocean Cay in early 2020 but the weather was too bad and they couldn't dock so I missed the opportunity to snorkel there. Planning another cruise and thinking another MSC cruise which will have a stop at Ocean Cay. I'm fairly new to snorkeling but very excited to try it there. The big map was great and descriptors of where to go. Thank you so much.
Loved the video. I've snorkeled at many Caribbean islands. My big fear is being too low in the water (i.e., over coral or rocks)...I had an incident in St. Thomas once where I somehow got over coral and had to lift my butt up to get out of it...Scary! I don't know I'd adventure into the rocky area, but how is the depth of water in the other areas? Thanks!
you can easily snorkel in 3 to 4 feet of water anywhere there. Out by the shark net it is easily 20 feet deep. In the lagoon in the center of the island it is 5 to 6 feet but the channel, which drops off quick is around 16 to 20 feet. outside in the open ocean we were easily in 30 feet of water. Is it acceptable to bring complete snorkeling gear as in mask snorkel an fins ? Great video I will be enjoying the island in a little over a week from now.

Keep in mind they are restoring the coral. We have been there twice and will be there again in October and each time we see more and more fish. This coral is still young and developing every day.
We visited Ocean Cay back in August of 2021 at the restart and really enjoyed it. Sunset beach was closed then but we enjoyed snorkeling Lighthouse Beach. I got to see a school of small jacks over by the lighthouse and out at the net. Made for a great day.
We were also there in November of 2021 and sunset beach was closed then also. It’s very nice to see the wildlife returning to the island thank you for watching.
