The route flown in the Cessna 172 was very scenic especially over the mountains. Took off from runway 05 and did a 180 degree turn and climbed to around 8,000 ft to get over the mountainous terrain. The whole route was hand flown not using the auto pilot. Made a sharp descent down to the coast and flew into Milford Sound.
