Hey man thanks for the review! Also pro-tip from a guy who went from 210lbs to 165 this year (5'10"), you can do it on diet alone. Fix what you eat, skip meals, stop drinking calories and you will shed pounds. Good luck brother, it will change your life!

6'2" 315 lbs here... so glad you talked about getting in and out. Up to that point, I was asking the screen... "but how do you get in and out?" Definitely the biggest issue I have with my simpit. I considered not having the up-front controls, since I fly in VR, but I sorely missed my ICP, since I fly the F-16 mostly. I would also miss my Stream Decks, as those are the best accessories, I've found, for a simpit. Thanks for the video.

Very nice review! I love how you point out how and why some things are modified. This is a very nice looking platform and very versatile as you have shown.

I’d love something like this but need to use my desk for work so built some extra long Monstertech clones and am very happy with the setup. Perhaps when we retire and probably move I’ll ensure there’s room for something like this.

I might be totally crazy but I don't think you can actually swap the side of the pivoting arm because of how it's built with the sliding channels being asymmetrically built on one side. I actually took my stuff apart to see if it was going to work because I was pretty excited for it lol. Plus side is I tweaked my setup a little bit so it fits me more comfortably!

Thank you for this video, I have just bought this chair and was wondering how to mount my Virpil collective, now I know. 👍

Great video once again man. Love your explanations and the reasoning behind it. Wondering the ‘thing’ coming up for the modularity exchange… if this is something form QR4Rigs. I got some plates from them for my soon to arrive DOF P3 to be able to exchange the Fanatec DD with the Honeycomb Alpha quickly and sweet :)

I have a pair for my stick and throttle and they’re great. Saved me having to get some custom plates made to attach my gear to my custom built 4080 desk mounts.

Finally someone speaking about the collective. If you have the VIRPIL universal chair mount for the collective, would it fit on the chair?
@greenranger2764
@greenranger2764 Год назад
If you are referring to the chair shown I don't think so. The universal chair mount is for a gaming or an office chair. You need space under it and from what I can see in the video it looks like the chair is mounted flush. I could be wrong though.

Hey OK, I'm similar build to you and struggle getting in and out of sim cockpits, to the point where I've binned them off and have created a sim desk, driving and flying is all in VR but I can use my LG 55in OLED screen if I want to play flatscreen. Not only that, I don't have the room for multiple sim cockpits. It's been expensive this hobby but I wouldn't change a thing, flying in VR is something else even with the trusty Quest 3 and lately the PSVR 2 ( PC ) adapter. Hope you're doing well and the weight is coming off. This is a year ago so maybe you've got down to where you want to be, whichever, hope you're good. Cheers, Daz, Leicester UK

Great video. I watched the one that was two weeks prior to this and then this one. I paused the video and ordered the proper seat the same as you have. Of course in Canada it is on back order. No biggie. It is ordered and I will wait. I agree with the thumb screws. More is better. I am just waiting to hear back, if the triple monitor stand will support a 49 inch curved in the middle and one 27 inch on either side. Hopefully it does and that is next purchase. Thank you for such great vids. Really like the Pro's and Con's. Letting us and them know, what is possibly a great thing they can yet improve on. Please be safe.

Next Level is more good than it is bad. Sure, it could use some improvements, but not bad by any means at all. If people go for MTS they are going to pay at minimum 4x the price and the setup will be strictly for their current flight sim gear, if they ever change gear they need to buy new kit to swap out, each attachment is like 2-400 Euro... Their chairs alone that bolt onto the rig cost 7-900 Euro, the same as the entire pro flight cockpit setup. I made up my rig on their site just for giggles, 3.5k Euro +522 shipping.... I did get a cup holder though, which is pretty cool. That's $4382 USD when the entire Next Level is at the door for $1099 USD including shipping.

How stable are the plates mounted to the stand? Is there wobble? The ones mounted to the chair are probably less flexing?!

I'm so torn now between getting the cockpit or the pro. My use case was going to be rolling it to my desk and that's why i was thinking the cockpit (boing) version. my main concern with the pro is it seems a lot taller and from the videos i've seen of your the pro mounts dont go as low as the boing version. What are your thoughts, suggestions for my use case? my desk is height adjustable and I use a tobii eye tracker, i mainly play star citizen and use hosas and rudder pedals and 2 cougar mfds

What are the dimensions of the rail mounts, ie, how far are they apart (in mm of you have the data)? Looking at the seat for my monsterech mts fighter pit. Thanks!!! :)

Not married, but something similar would probably apply. I built some custom desk mount Monstertech clones, but much longer than their long version as I wanted centre mount with a 200 mm extension, but with the grip down by my knees. I watched a lot of in cockpit F18 and F14 video to see the relative hand position for stick and throttle and am happy I got it as close as possible. I use it with QR4Rigs adapters so I can disassemble in a few minutes and hide it (somewhat) away.

Been checking the NLR site and all the new goodies are out of stock. :( Definitely want to grab the stand and then eventually the seat.

I think I just need the seat. I'm pretty happy with my pit. But using a standard car seat, I cannot use the full length stick since the seat gets in the way. I think the notched seat would help. I dunno. I do like the whole rig. I'm just dying to get something set up with a full throw stick center mounted. Most of what I do is WWI or WWII in VR, so side-sticking is a little immersion breaking. Silly, I know, but it does bug me. Though the price is actually pretty good for something like that, it is still a bit rough on ol' wallet. Well, crap. Now I'm going to have this thing rattling around in my noggin for a while. Thanks, just what I needed. Lol...

I use it with QR4Rigs adapters so I can disassemble it in a few minutes and hide it (somewhat) away. My chair is just an ikea Markus. I have a wall directly behind and brace against that with a piece of wood that holds the wheels in place so I’m not moving around at all. Even without a notch in the chair I can just about get the full range of motion. That’s the benefit of a desk mount as you can control the horizontal position more compared to a fairly fixed below the seat position I see on many rigs like this. For me the bigger issue is touching my legs but I tend to fly choppers more at the moment so am typically not doing any excessive movement anyway. I’d imagine that would be the same for warbirds compared to a jet. I have a CM3 base with an Alpha Prime on a 200 extension.

The seat cushion is a piece of shit. No support at all and your ass falls asleep after 20 minutes of flying. The rest of the rig is good but not worth the price at all.

I actually haven't had that problem with the Boeing or this one. I've had to adjust the back rest a couple times but that's it.
