Thank you for the excellent video. I’ve been digging deep into msfs 20 and had started out in Xplane 11 where I have no issues with ILS or RNAV Approach, but here in msfs I get all right like I should be, but no glide slope. Your statement about Microsoft must’ve got the plates wrong was the answer to my nightmare with RNAV approach no picking up the GS. I basically did as you said increase my VS rate and saw the GS move, reengaged the APR and it worked. Thanks a bunch.👍🛩
As usual, hit like THEN watch the video. It still amazes me that FS is so accurate. Sure there are small bugs (usually) but overall, given the billions of bits and bites, they do a pretty good job with FS! !! !!!
I don't think Microsoft approach plate is wrong I think there is a bug in the sim because every rnav approach I try and do shows that I am high and it won't capture the glide slope
The approach plate was right, you were supposed to cross JURGI at 2600 MSL but you blew past that altitude early. That's why you were low and had to capture the glideslope from below.
Agreed! I just flew this same procedure in the 172 with the G1000NXi and the approach worked like a charm. Likely would have flown me right down onto the runway if I hadn't taken over the controls a mile or so before touchdown.
First of all, YOU NEED TO LEARN TO SLOW DOWN! You are talking way too fast! You are running your words together and you have got to learn to slow down when speaking!
