Excellent video, as always! One small tip/contribution: to save time, when you call approach on the ground to pick up your clearance, no need to break it up into two calls ("Good Morning..... Ready to pick up clearance"). You can do it as one call: "Allentown Approach, Red64 on the ground at X, ready to pick up our clearance to Y". If you feel it's better to do an intro call to see if they're ready, better to say "Allentown Approach, Red64 on the ground at X, with request". That's my contribution for the day. I'm a real-world single-engine IFR pilot who continues to disappoint my instructors with my actual flying, but they usually say "well, those were three really badly-flown approaches, but at least you're good on the radio".

When you are using RED64 as your callsign, is that similar to an airline callsign as opposed to a tail number?

I'm a little confused by the approach minimums you mention (742 / 60). I always learned that the first one is the altimeter minimum (742 feet ASL) and the second one is horizontal visibility in feet (6000 feet, so 1 nm). You are entering 60 feet as radio altimeter minimums. Have I always used them wrong?

No, you are correct. He could have used 341 (rounded up) with the radio altimeter to let him know when he was at minimum above the touchdown zone.

Hi. Thanks for the videos. What is the application that you've added to your toolbar where you can quickly change COMS, NAVs, etc.? Thank much!

Just in case you or anyone else was still looking, this is the GNS750 mod from PMS50. I just started using it myself and it's a really powerful tool for MSFS.
