Its not even released yet no drivers no bios updates nun will see once its out and gets updates how it truly performs too early to say it sucks none of the handhelds where perfect out of the box
Its awesome. Intel is great for gaming. But amd is awesome too. Wonder what nvidia does with switch 2. Psp 2 is cheaper too I hope. These pocket gaming pcs are expensive.
If you go for pricing, Steam Deck might be the best option. ROG Ally would go second. But If you have more spare cash and like to go with new tech, I would bet in MSI + intel (for now) Or,.. wait a bit more for new gen handheld if you can wait. (Ally/Z1Ex is starting to be a bit old already)
The msi claw has the functionality activated in its NPU, as a neural processing unit, theoretically it should be 25 times faster on paper it is inferior to the gpu, let's see another thing is that the xess of intel 7 ultra with its npu unit would not work at the same time added to windows 11/12 that will activate its gpu graphic rendering, that is, one or the other works normally until now npu is for very very very simple tasks with a very notable deficiency in practice and on clear paper, what I'm going for is that All these graphic renderings do not add up to work at the same time, if you have any information to share about it I will be very grateful to learn more, mainly this is due to the current Chinese tests of the lower fps in the W/FPS comparison between Asus rog ally vs MSI claw, how do you plan to optimize the msi claw against the ally, has the rog ally already won?
Im concerned about the stuttering. I really want the MSI to work, my gaming computers at home are all MSI. But every video Ive seen on the MSI claw shows the stuttering. I dont have that Issue with my ROG Ally. If you can find out let me know, if whether this will be an issue or is it just due to the device not being final yet, thanks?
I set profile of the machine to AI mode (Around Balance mode, I guess) I think actual total power draw can be seen from "CPU PWR" on the 3rd row of top left of the screen, which is around 2X Watt. (Not sure if it takes more power by the other parts?)
I didn't fully capture the battery life for compare myself. Just play few hours of 2D games at at time until it ran out. But as I got info from other YT channel, actual battery life is like 30-40% longer than ROG Ally which is quite nice.
Actually there is. It's green text that show on the top-right of the screen while game is playing. But sorry about poor video quailty that make it blurry.
Note that I didn't remove original screen protector film that come with original product (Which make the screen a bit balck-blurry) The screen can be a bit nicer with no screen protector or a better one.
Terrible performance 😮 just think for the same price you could get a rtx 4060 gaming laptop with ddr5 ram 144hz screen , playing all games max settings.
It a quite new and I suspect the new firmware/driver update that will release in the futuer might make it better over time. Compared with Ally, the Ally release for quite some time and should passed this phase already when it first launched.
I would admit that 'm not very good with Soullike kind of games. Another reason, I don't hold the Claw properly and concentrate at playing. I'm just trying to make the video stay still while playing. ... Enough reason for that? :)
