Thanks for the video! Is there any chance you can do an UFO test to get a feeling of the monitor's motion handling / ghosting with the different "Response time" modes? For instance, could you tell us how much of a trail the UFO leaves?

I bought Msi G281UV, thanks to you, it's been 2 days :) I wanted to give some information. 4K 10 bit setting is enabled from Nvidia control panel via DP cable. 4K max refresh rate could be output from the Nvidia Panel as 63 HZ in 8 bits. I bought it for office use. I have an MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD monitor, but the resolution on this screen is very nice.

I bought this monitor, it's wonderful, I only regret not buying two and now I can't find this model for sale anymore.

I wish you would have included the process of calibratkng the monitor and how you go about it. Also to show how close it gets to your old Dell.

Dell p4317q is a 42.5" monitor...It's my time to see someone using such huge screen as a desktop monitor. I thought it was 32", but 28" looked so small that I doubted my guess😄

Thank you very much for this complete review. I know it is a "budget" monitor for you guys, but for us living in 3th world countries it is very expensive. Any afterthought on this monitor? I'm planing to use it for office and casual gaming, but I do care a little bit about color and gamma accuracy. Not anything professional, but I do mind when the monitor is way off, specially on grays and white balance, as my main use will be on IDEs and they are all greyed out. Thank you again, you are literally the only one reviewing this monitor on RU-vid and this price range is what we can afford around here.

They said this monitor can work with dp 1.2a over nvidia gpu g sync (forcefully) so my question is can its dp support 4k 60 hz hdr on 10bit or not.

I bought this monitor last week after watch your video. I need a budget 4K monitor for video and photograph work and this monitor perfect for my use at that price range. Everthings look fine but after some test I notice IPS Glow(not backligt bleed) in 4 cornes so I wonder how is your panel in dark envirement with all black contect? Especilly with camera how is it look?

Have you tried 4k overclocking to 75hz from the graphics card control panel?

I have an HP EliteBook 830 G6 notebook with an Intel Core i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz processor and Intel UHD Graphics 620, which, according to the manufacturer, has the capability to support 4k resolution at 60hz. I tested it on a 4k resolution television using the HDMI inputs (along with the cable that came with the MSI monitor), and indeed, the resolution was satisfactory. The issue arises with the MSI G281UV monitor, which has a 4k resolution. When using the HDMI cable that came with it, the maximum resolution achieved is only 2560 x 1440. I am unable to change it in any way. I tried another cable I have (HDMI - USB Type C) in the USB-C Thunderbolt port, and it allowed me to change the resolution to 3840 x 2160. However, the monitor displays the message "LIMIT EXCEEDED!" when attempting to make this modification. can you help me?

Is it true 10bit panel or 8bit and software supported? It say 10bit and 1.07b colour on Msi’s website but 18.48 it says 8 bit depth?

How to enable 10-bit color depth? If monitor is connected to AMD graphics card via HDMI, please change the pixel format to YCbCr in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. If monitor is connected to NVIDIA graphics card via HDMI, please change the output color format to YCbCr in NVIDIA Control Panel. If monitor is connected via DisplayPort, it should display 10-bit color depth in both RGB and YCbCr pixel format/color format. hope this can help people , also thanks for your video ❤ if this help , pls pin it to be easier to find by others 😊
