Amazwi Omzansi Africa National Opera Singing Competition of South Africa 2015. This was the final held on the 16 August 2015 in Durban at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal .
A truly magnificent performance. Congratulations young man; I am sure you will go on to great success. In the meantime, simply enjoy singing, you really are gifted. God’s blessings, 🦋
@@kathleenwalker7632 I am a young artist at the National Opera Studio in London... But everything has been put on hold due to the corona virus outbreak!
@@msimelelombali1169 thats wonderful - Are you in contact with owen metsileng ? Hes the other singer i really enjoyed when he sang largo al factotum- maybe you could all organise some singing with the public online - a masterclass or a virtual choir or something like that- bring everyone out of their shells to find their voice....it transforms your life...... your whole way of being.....it brings you peace
@@kathleenwalker7632 oh yes we keep in contact and I am sure to bring your wonderful idea to his attention and we will share! Thank you so much for your support!
Such a beautiful gift you have your voice, charisma, and passion really touched me! I am grateful to find your beautiful expression of one of my favorite opera songs!!❤❤
Have to love the majesty of a good bass voice! Especially when it is used to bring songs like this to life. Reminds me of Moll, Talvela, Pape, and other great basses.
Thank you Jocelyn... I'm so sorry for the late reply. I'm currently in the UK, as a young artist at the National Opera Studio in London. Hopefully the next step will be Europe! Keep me in your prayers! I'll make sure to keep you posted!
What a beautiful, fluid tone; throughout - I would never tire of listening to your voice! You have good and diction and German pronunciation too; furthermore, Msimelelo, the attitude and demeanour of your performance are just right: stately and priestlike! This is probably my very favourite aria in all of opera; you don't disappoint at all. Bravissimo!!
I am in tears listening to this great bass reminding me of the great Paul Robeson and Roland Hayes whom I had a pleasure meeting him in Boston in 1960'.
What a terrific voice you have, Msimelelo! This is such a full-sounding, controlled rendition of this famous aria; your German pronunciation, too, is excellent. Bravissimo! I wish you great success in your career!
@@jandamskier6510 I am currently in the United Kingdom, as a young artist at the National Opera Studio... Unfortunately I never got a chance to sing at Cape Town Opera and that is one of my aspirations - to sing on a home stage! I will be updating my RU-vid channel from now on, to keep everyone posted!
I wish the sound take had been better, particularly for the choir. But as far as you are concerned, Msimelelo, you are one of the best young « basso profundo » I have heard so far, together with young German Lukas Lemcke. You have a promising career ahead of you if you don’t strain your voice. Thank you for this beautiful upload.
This is my favourite part of Die Zauberflöte, and this is the most beautiful vocal performance I have ever heard of it. This has made me very happy! Thank you!
