It says McConnell is holding American people hostsge but he is using the filibuster instead of a AR 15. Mitch is not a clever politician, he is an unpatriotic, self centered bully who cares about looking powerful by a constant ability to say "no" and making sure nothing get resolved.

He wrote great words that were completely true then proceeded to undermine everything great idea in the Constitution...leaving freed slaves, Native Americans and lots of immigrants to finish the task of democracy.

Why was Trump so horrible? I keep hearing this. We all know he was horrible to the corrupt and entranched political class. We all know that he showed Americans that they could advance without government programs. We saw him clear the bureaucracy which allowed to COVID-19 vaccines to become readily available. Even Joe Biden had to complement Trump on operation warp speed that got the COVID-19 vaccines to the states. During his time as president we had full employment and even the Wall Street Journal had to admit that lower and middle income Americans received a higher percentage of wage increase then did upper class Americans. That time also black unemployment was at a historic low. Protected class individuals to include women, Hispanics and blacks entered into entrepreneurship. When Trump left the presidency our inflation rate was at 1%. We all had so much hope for Joe and his new administration but compared to what we had then as to what we have now, I believe many people have voters remorse and would love to have our supercharged economy, under Trump back.

It shouldn't be 'politicized'...it shouldn't be a political matter. Laws are not inherently political, nor are regulations...they become political when you block them to play politics so you can collect that next NRA check.

People are supposed to choose based on the candidates willingness to do that. It's changed over the last few decades. It's become a ballgame instead of actual governing. What's worse is the people who keep voting these yahoos in don't seem to care about that.

Just get rid of assault weapons period. Also, take out all the loop holes to allow criminals, mentally ill, and kids under 21 from owning them. No one wants to take away guns completely. We want responsibility. Public safety first.

Well, but if there is a mass shooting every day and you can not legislate during a crisis...then when do you do it? Also, if it is fine for the Republican party to take donation after donation from the gun lobby how is it NOT a political topic? I wish people would truly look at the records of both the Democratic & Republican leadership side by side comparing policies that have been proposed & those enacted over the last 25, 15, 10 yrs that's targeted to benefit everyday hard working people, the majority of Americans & then compare which party most often supported the policies that benefited THOSE THAT ALREADY HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH, BENEFITED THE WEALTHY & BIG BUSINESS, leaving those with less out of the financial pie. Check to see if they're connected in someway, through their own or their family investments or received money contributions, that more than likely could explain many of their policies & votes. I've been doing my own serious homework & from what I can see, the Republicans don't care about the average American, though they make it sound like they are master BS'ers, their policies & votes show the TRUTH. Violence in our society will continue till we see the danger of regarding the current constitution sacred. It was a good start. The mistake was in making it a fixed or permanent document rather than work in progress. It did not provide higher freedoms such as freedom from want, freedom from war & conflict, freedom to unite, freedom to progress, freedom in peace & joy. Instead, it set citizens in opposition to each other, making social peace impossible.
