Last night I was reminded of how much I respect that amazing couple, Barack and Michele Obama. As a boomer I must say that I miss them as the first couple, but am looking forward to a new amazing first couple. I am a pro choice, pro union Eisenhower Republican. I voted for Barack, Hillary, Joe and am looing forward to voting for KAMALA! 💙💙💙💙💙
The Playlist is the first thing that really hit me on night one and it just keeps getting better. Then to see and hear so many strong confident men passionately endorse a woman for president. I felt last night was a huge gathering of men to support women. It was striking. Doug was outstanding, so was his son. He is not a regretting spouse who feels overshadowed. It really is self evident that he genuinely wants the best for her and will do whatever it takes. Michelle Obama blew me out of the water. Both she and Barak spoke to the hearts and minds of people across the land and the world. They elevated the conversation, they elevated the recognition of the moment, they elevated the level of responsibility and power to produce change that each person in America has to Do Something. There was no dry eye in the house because people were being spoken to about something deep inside of them that we all ache for in what is best about America - we are all connected, we need each other, we CAN make America a better place to live through cooperation and tolerance and the peace and safety that comes with the rule of law. It was an extraordinary night.
I am from the Netherlands and I follow American politics for years, to be truth, from the time of Kennedy. But what I saw and heard last evening, was beyond my expectations. All the speeches were so excellent, one after the other, but it was not only political retorica but it was profoundly thru and emotional. A great message for the future of America and the world. It will color blue America in November. I love Barrack and Michelle, what a great people and it shrinks Trump to a tiny miserabel white mouse!!!!! Love to USA

I thought the video about Doug Emhoff, narrated by his son Cole, was the most impactful piece of media I have seen for the Harris campaign. It normalizes her in such a way by showing her with someone so genuine and loving to her and shows both of their humanity. His speech was great too!

I live in the Caribbean never experienced anything like a roll call, calling out the different states. Well that had me jumping up and down on the couch so excited, and that DJ boy oh boy I was moving like a rubber band. I was so excited I felt the togetherness the love of the people in that house. Wonderful to see the fun and love at the 2nd DNC. It's not really about choosing a political party, it's about nurturing in each other all the noble qualities humans can bring to life. I've been a part of US for 68 years (yes, I'm 68!) and currently the Democratic Party most accurately reflects the shining diversity of the US that can come together as one people. Choose the long view over expediency, empathy over selfishness, love over power and hate.

In 2004 Obama gave the very best speech I had ever heard. I was wowed. Then Bill Clinton came on the next night - and he gave a speech that even topped Obama's. And nobody else remembers Bill's. I felt fortunate to have seen them bith. Kamala is up tomorrow night, and wow, she will hit a home run.
