I’m a native San Franciscan and lived a block away from city hall during her tenure as DA. She was on the local news a lot long before the rest of the country knew about her. She was always impressive to me.
It is a lie that she locked up hundreds of Black men. In fact, she put programs in place for those convicted of the low-level crimes, that she is reported to have gone hard, as a way to get their life back on track.
That's the entire motivation for not taxing tips. It's just another gift from Trump to the wealthy. The whole thing makes no sense, other than a case where employees get at least minimum wage and tips are not required or commonly given. This is a sticky issue. For bars and nightclubs the situation is completely different, tax evasion common and largely unenforceable, so would make little difference. Because of all these considerations, for Trump it's clearly a gift to the Judges to keep them in his pocket.
The justice department just drags this stuff on and on. These crooks know that all rhey need to do is just keep filing objections. This is a mess and I hope Kamala and Walz will have the House and the Senate backing to save us. Vote BLUE💙

Write your senators and ask for approval of the No Kings and the SCOTUS ethics legislation in progress. And in the mean time ask for a criminal referral to DOJ for bribery to the people giving money to officials, impeachment of the bribe takers, and a referral to the IRS for forensic audits for every single SCOTUS employee rgardless of rank or party or affiliation.

Judges on the SCOTUS should be held accountable to the highest standard. Corrupt judges should automatically be removed from duty. This is not any different than doctors accused of malpractice.

The moment any Supreme Court Justice gets selected for their position it should be law that they and their family are no longer eligible to vote for ANY political party in America or foreign countries, it would be in conflict of their duty to America. Neither can they or their family accept gifts from any entity in government foreign or domestic, either private local or overseas, etc [explaining]; a term period should be placed on how long each justice will serve, and that each president can ONLY elect to place ONE justice during his or her term [if required]to the Supreme Court. If a justice is found to be corrupt they should be brought before congress tried for their crimes dismissed from their position sentence to prison for their crimes.
This matter should have been nipped at the bud in 2020. Since there has been no accountability for their actions, of course they are going to keep doing it
I took it as condescension, too. It’s what years of impunity does to daily decision makers. Gorsuch reminds me of a Jesuit priest who taught Catechism at the convent school I grew up in, in 1970s Belgium. His favourite Latin expression was ‘In Loco Parentis’. Never had kids himself, was never married, but he imposed himself as a Meta-parent on children and parents alike. Gorsuch behaves like a Meta-President. He creeps me out.
If there is any way to cross check the Supreme Court decisions, judge Thomas made that influenced Harlan Crow in a positive way that would be a very interesting thing to know. Now that I think of it, I don’t know possibly the department of justice has already done that but seriously, to compare Harlan Crow’s business dealings that were benefited by decisions that were made with Justice Thomas would really bring things to light and show that it wasn’t just him out having fun on these, glorious trips, it was him manipulating the court system. It was him defeating the purpose of the Supreme Court. It was him lying to the people of the United States and his other judges, possibly so I would like to know if anyone has or if anyone will double check on that, that would be very, very fascinating.😮
