@@JS-wy6uw I've always been a true conservative which is basically libertarian but the Libertarian Party is wack and Chase Daniels is very progressive and not even remotely libertarian.
And a guy they love who's only political experience is being mayor of a college town but of course he's qualified to be president because he's gay. These folks are insane.
Vance's fundamental point is true. Becoming a parent changes you. Your perception of time and concern for the future changes permanently. As a father, grandfather, and great grandfather I have seen the transition in 3 generations. Parents are much more concerned about the future society their children will live in. They care that each of their children and grand children will have to pay $3300 interest on the national debt every year they live. Parenthood is a different plain of existence. I feel sorry for people who fail to achieve it.
Pro-natalism vs anti-natalism is a conversation that this country should be having. The negative effects of population collapse in Japan are very real, they waited too long to take it seriously and now it's upon them and even if they implement a solution now they won't see results for decades
Well, yeah, in the sense that being incredibly successful, graduating from Yale, serving in the Marines, and having a biracial family - compared to most of America, that is weird. Most people are not nearly this successful, or stable, or productive.
My mom used to be an administrator at a private school that also had a daycare attached. She told me once that the county health department wanted them to rebuild multiple bathrooms in a building that was 60 years old at a cost of 100k+ because the slope of the floor down to the drain wasn’t the exact prescribed degree in their regulations, despite there never having been an issue with it… she said dumb shit like that was why no one could afford daycare anymore.
It may be their job, but their modus operandi is to accumulate power, and that's done with identify politics. The only way to stop it is for the voting citizens and voting illegals to reject identity politics. I don't see how that's going to happen.
I think it's also important to point out that Trump is /politically/ weird. As in, he's weird to the overly-politically-engaged, because he says things in an ugly way, and it's hard to understand his appeal (if he doesn't appeal to you, it really is hard to understand). As a person, he's really not that weird. None of his beliefs are all that out there or extreme. He's just... scummy.
6:43 Yes, I get what you're saying. Trump just stood in front of the entire mainstream media, fielding their questions for an hour and a half. That probably comes off as weird to many people because they're just not used to politicians allowing this much unscripted access, and JD Vance was answering questions yesterday from the media. Just weird I guess 🤷
It’s nice to see Robby having intelligent discussions with someone who doesn’t step all over him and isn’t constantly interrupting. It brings me much joy. ❤
Robby, good to see you over here. I will make this a habit. The ugliness was overwhelming the beautiful over on the rising. I just couldn't bear it anymore. Good luck to you.
Weird is Robby's handkerchief today! That being said, weird, as noted in the video, is far more applicable to the Democrats and their love of things like flamboyant crossdressers.
"Weird" is just othering language. It's purpose is to frame him as an alien outsider to the listener's culure and so violator if it's norms. That is, as some would say, they are queering him to uphold soclal norms that prop up thier positions of power. As they would put it (while projecting).
There's more to the story than just lowering the cost of goods and services to deal with the issue about childless couples. We should be having a conversation about reforming our family court laws to make marriage not seem like a high-risk, low-reward venture for most men in Western society.
Yotube deleted my comment i will try again, being a bit more subtle. In most other countries, the common man, of any type, doesnt shame the majority for existing. It would be normal for the majority to be encouraged to procreate, and it wouldnt be necessary to add the caveat that they encourage all people to procreate.
I just want more Americans. I want more people with my values. I don't care, and I think it's stupid _to_ care, what those Americans look like on the outside, so long as they have the same values as me.
I remember a time when it was the Democrats that welcomed people who were for bi-racial marriage, and it was the Republicans who called those people weird like that was an intelligent and popular way to sway people to their side. Unfortunately, much like the flipped Democratic stance now against free speech, Harris says the party isn't "going back."
I think he’s a strong candidate. He represents white working class left behind. He grew up in poverty and made it. That is the American dream and it’ll resonate with immigrants too. He needs to use sarcasm a little bit less and stop the “tax breaks to start families” rhetoric though.
Where did this video come from? I've literally searched the internet and I cannot find it anywhere but on other people's videos. Where are you guys going to get these videos? And why don't you link anymore?
When ANY politician talks about getting people to have more kids it always boils down to "there will not be enough tax payers in the future". The unaffordability of having kids is absolutely in the hands of the government. They have made it more expensive, not less.
There are many things you can criticize about JD Vance; racism and “weirdness” isnt one of them. But it’s probably more telling that they refuse to focus on his statist policies of government industrial planning and tariffs.
If you oppose tariffs, you must also oppose all regulations on domestic manufacturing concerning labor, environment, safety, etc. We cannot compete with slave labor and gross pollution without tariffs to level the field. That's the choice. Whichever side you take, be consistent.
Nothing, it's just that Vance is married to a Woman who isn't white. So this idea of Vance meaning "more white children" is not true. He wants more children period.
The “Obama was born in Kenya” theme started with the Hillary Clinton campaign, and as his mother was a US citizen, the whole issue was legally nothing.
