Extremely useful footage for potential customers, I'll try to find the stove here in Italy, thanks to the detailed information provided by you, sir. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us

Very good vid Joe. Comments in my experience. 1. With tank and burner hooked up. Accidently move the tank and the burner moves as well. If it's lite or has a pot on the burner, the pot can flip and you now have and uncontrollable flame burning whatever. My suggestion is to stake down one leg of the burner to stop it from going rouge while pumping the fuel tank. 2. The burner top supports are too slick and the supporting pot diameter too large to facilitate smaller cups. I don't know if there is an adaptor that fits on the burner top for small cups? Anyway, been using my 40 year old Whisper lite in the cold for years. In the warmer months it's Butane/Propane all the way. Any comments Amigo very much welcomed. And Thanks Peace from Texas

it's crazy how much detail you get into. when you go to the Msr website or RU-vid channel, they only get about 3 minutes in detail of the stove. thanks.

I run the highest octane because my bike requires it. My stove gets carbon build up like yours but at least I have the option to poor the gas in my tank if i need it.

I saw a guy prime it with alcohol for a cleaner start. That might be a good idea. Another fellow uses a flame diffuser to help simmer.

BUG OUT BAG TIME=GREAT VIDEO

I have already praised the importance of this video. So I decided to buy the stove. But I’d like just to point out that the soot is a real problem, at least with gasoline I mean, with other fuels I don’t know. With gasoline, immediately out of the box and then first functioning, after 2 or 3 minutes (just to try), the stove was full of soot in foils. In my country it’s very hard to find other fuels, like white gas. The soot could impair the functioning I’m afraid, not to mention dirtiness on hands or transport bag

dirty transport bag think when u use the stove u can look over that. its not gonne clock up the stove, its just carbon u coud eat it never was a problem for me i used gasoline, kerosine and disel in my stove vor the last 2 ones u need to switch the nozzel

The soot comes from burning gasoline to prime the stove. Prime the stove with alcohol then you’ll have no soot. Use the type of alcohol that is used in the Trangia, not the medical one. Once the stove gets going, it doesn’t produce soot even if used wih gasoline.

Have you ever used/tried "Panel Wipe" for fuel there in the USA, its around £18 for 5 litres, here in the UK its a degreaser for preparing to spray cars.

Excellent video(s) mate! This may seem a daft question or maybe not. Can you use Methylated Spirit (Denatured) as a fuel with this stove? I'll be buying one of these for sure. Regards from the UK, Chris.

+Christopher Rowan If you're asking about alcohol , I don't believe these stoves won't burn alcohol.

Only problem I saw with this model (that I also have) are the multiple ports, needles, and port wrench for the various fuel methods. You lose that packet, or any of those parts, and that fuel option (or all losing the wrench) is nixed. Need to make some secure adhesive velcro strap on the fuel bottle and securely latch down the packet.

I don’t find that theirs really any. Except the priming stage. But that can be done with alcohol instead of the gas also
