NIL and the portal as it is today will kill college football. Even professional sports don’t operate like this because it’s suicide.

Is there any loyalty and commitment today with NIL? Derick Harmon is a quality asset loss. It would be interesting to interview him what cause him to re-portal? Is it $$$$$ only? How does he rationalize this decision? Matt you ought to contact Derick for an interview to allow him to voice himself. You don’t have to grill him, just ask him to explain his experience at MSU, the transition of a new Coach, and all the pressures.

College football used to be the best sport. Now the lawyers and bureaucrats have ruined it. This NIL and unlimited transfer portal will lead to the destruction of the loyalty and love that attaches so many alumni to their respective universities. Now they will shy away from interest and passion just like a bruised lover shies away from a new relationship. Shortsighted idiots! RIP college football.

But what exactly is the source that these players are getting paid? Like where would I find for example: “Derrick Harmon paid 100k by MSU NIL. Like where would I find the source of reporting that these players are getting paid. Thanks.

This is where contracts with recourse may help e.g. the ability to claw back funds for agreements that have not been honored.

i am at a point where players should just sign contracts at least for 2 years after that they can stay, transfer, or go to the NFL or even AFL league!! because it is ridiculous and the NCAA is allowing it.

we need a center I know Tom Izzo doesn’t think so. He is wrong this is not a team that can play Booker at Center. We need a big to pair next to Booker like a Brandon Garrison or Tarris Reed. Until we get a real center I can’t buy back into the basketball team.

Everybody that enter the transfer portal is not leaving because of nil money. I hear that some of the coaches at Michigan State are toxic and are negative coaches, all players are not built for that.

2 potential all big ten guys. Who aren’t all big ten. Both barrow and Harmon are overrated. Losses for sure. But neither will be confused for a great player
