Thank you for this!! I’m not tech savvy and was trying to download “origin” to play sims and couldn’t figure out why I got both errors (msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll). Both videos fixed the issue!

Struggled with this issue in TurboTax for several hours. Seems that one of the 32 bit files in my old Windows 64 bit system was bad. Replaced it and all is now well. Thanks. I didn't even know that the 32 bit VB Redistributable was now required for TT. Either there is a new requirement or one of the many MSFT "updates" was flawed. My bet is the latter since almost every time there is one of those incessant updates, my "D" drive seems to disappear. Thanks for posting your solution.

Thank you! Before the video, I tried to install it via Microsoft Visual C++ - it didn’t help. I manually downloaded the missing 64bit dll file and replaced the existing one. But only thanks to you I realized that I also need to download the 32bit file and put it in another folder. - only after that everything worked.

Thanks for the free help, but I did both solutions and the game isn't opening yet. I think that the problem can be that it need 2 diferent dll, but I did the 2 solutions on each program and it isn't opening yet. Is there another way to fix this?

You can actually see the file name on the top of the file explorer page. It'll say if its 32 bit or 64 bit. Thank you for the help!

Hello. My windows 10 just randomly and automatically shuts down. I thought might be GPU driver or overheating software but then I updated my driver and saw that my cpu and gpu temperatures were all fine. Worse part is if I cancel my shutdown, it will go again and just try to shut it down. Its like a mind of its own. I reset the PC and still the problem persists. I followed steps online like tweaking power options, checking the HDD life status which said its okay and performed a sfc scan which said it fixed the problems but they are still persisting. It eventually led to getting a Sihost.exe error. I thought it was WINDOWS update so I tried to uninstall the new updates and still doesnt work.

this happened to my brother's laptop!!! after a while we found out it was the battery that needed replacing! Unfortunately it got to the point where the laptop doesn't work UNLESS it's plugged in lol. So maybe see if it's your battery maybe? Have a nice day!

All I can say is THANK YOU!!! I downloaded a bunch of instrument plug ins for my music DAW that I probably shouldn't have and when uninstalling them I deleted the C++ file and the program wouldn't open. You came up first, I grabbed the file in method 2 and I'm up and running again. I'm great at building PC's but I suck miserably when it comes to software errors like this, so again THANK YOU!!!
