You hold the clutch at the friction zone so you are at high rpm at low speed (high rpm for max power). If you just dump it meaning you give a lot of gas and just stop holding it and then you will be on your back because the bike will wheelie will full power. Or it will stall, or just it will be on low rpms and you won't have power. Just check a vid "how to launch a bike"
Not only he won, but the wheelie really didn't change anything, it's just that the zx6 needs to get going before becoming the rocket it is, while the MT-07 is stronger of the line and then just keeps the same power, which is way lower than the zx
While I do crossplane growl, I prefer the flat 4 sound. Bur nevertheless inline 4 sounds a million times better than these parallel twin engines they're trying to push because of euro 5 and similar sh*t regulations. Japanese makers should never get rid of in-line 4
@@Sinister_fartboxthese twin engines only sound good untill 6k rpm, above that it sounds like a coke fart can. Nothing beats an inline4 engine with a good exhaust.
lol no they aren't. R6 is a 599cc inline-4 DOHC engine, and MT07 is a 689cc inline twin DOHC CP2 engine - maybe you are thinking of the new R7 and not the R6 as the video implies. Even if that bike is a ZX6r (as a lot of people in the comments are guessing) and not a R6, it's still not the same engine as a ZX6r has a 636cc inline 4 with DOHC @@toad8500
Guy on the MT07 isn't. Guy on the ZX6R (not R6 like the title says) looks like he's wearing one, or if not, then has an ultra-thick balaclava with a pattern on it.
@@svenbosma5704it will keep the front wheel down for the most part, but dude definitely needs to practice his starts lol. He lost 3-4 seconds there and would’ve smashed the MT with a proper launch
@@dcd5050 You don't understand what I said? When you first drop the clutch to launch you keep some slight pressure on the back brake. It keeps the front from being able to jump like in the video. It's a common technique.
I owned this bike and my friend had a MT07, when racing on the highway, I smoked the hell out of him, the MT07 has better low end torque, my old ZX6R had nothing on the low end, they pull super well mid and high end

R6 is only better on top end, the 07 has more torque, however, I don’t think this was a r6, and that bike would have paddled the 07 if he could have kept the wheel down

Why? Obviously the 600 would be the mt07. The Mt07 is more evenly matched against Hondas 500 cc bike 😅. The Mt09 would be the ideal competitor to the 600cc. But that being said the guy on the Mt07 can certainly ride better then his competitor here, dear lord 🫣
