In this video, I got back the ECU from being flashed by BAUCE Racing and get it back in the bike for a first ride and some testing! It's insane how much difference the flash makes. So easy too. An ecu flash is seriously a no brainer mod for everyone to do on their motorcycle.

He did. Removed the signal stalks and put an S1000RR under them. Not exactly the least expensive way to fix that.

Anthony at Bauce Racing flashed my ECU. He is a tuning Doctor. Customer service is amazing as well. I highly recommend him to anyone.

He says the shifting is better. He changed his fueling, how does that help with a mechanical linkage operated by your foot?

@@darylsavage119 you have obviously never ridden a bike with lean fueling. It causes rpms to hang on roll off (something he mentions), hesitation on roll on, and as a result loads the gears and/or shafts just enough that it can make shifting notchy or clunky feeling sometimes. Combine that with a DBW throttle map that is.less.than perfect and it can make life worse (persinal experience).

It looks like you're missing your intake piece, infront of the gas cap where the two holes are there should be a plastic piece that has two push pin holes on top, and two on the sides. It covers a bit of the opening between the tank and airbox. I would definitely not ride in the rain without that

That is Barr Mansion. I knew you were in that area as soon as your video went into the riding footage. Lots of fun roads around that area and along Cameron Rd north from Sprinkle Cutoff all the way past the east side of Pflugerville.

Hi, I have a question. If I would do ECU flash, and then go to a Yamaha dealer to the Service, will they notice the ECU flash? Or will they just update the ECU and the flashed ECU will be overwritten? Or will they don't touch the ECU? Thank you :)

Jay Cater get any mid size bike. You will outgrow any 250 in a month.

Honestly I would go fz07, yes its heavier but has more power, and can handle the highway. The 250 can be ridden on the highway but it isn't really enjoyable(fun).

I'm definitely gonna recommend you contact Nick at Stoltec Moto for suspension upgrades. It's expensive, but good lord the bike will handle so much better. Do the GP 25mm Cartridge Kit and their Penske Triple Clicker shock. Both have customizable spring rates and are rebuildable.

A generic flash for a specific model bike or car will be great, but there are slight differences with every engine, even if they are exactly the same and built side by side. That is why for even better results and to make sure your engine is running as smooth as possible and not to rich or lean, it is best to get it tuned/flashed on the dynamometer (dyno). At least you did not waist money on a power commander.

Is clutchless shifting enabled with the ecu flash or did you get a quick shifter?

Put a quality 3-way or 4-way adjustable rear shock on that thing. You'll be surprised how much better everything gets. But I'd do fork cartridges as well, with proper spring rates f/r. As far as ECU flashing, you do realize that the factory would have all of these bikes running perfectly from factory, every bit as well as a quality flash, if it weren't for EPA and regulations. People are so mind blown by the flash, because they get used to how crappy motorcycles run after mandatory factory regulations ruin them.

@motonosity I've watched all your videos on this bike and quite a few other "first rides" and reviews. Seems like a lot of motovloggers all try to steer people away from this bike because "its dangerous and will stand up with pure throttle in 2nd." Ive not seen you complain about that or express nervousness due to it. I'm planning on buying a 2019 mt09 today. I've got loads of experience on dirt bikes and racing quads and some minimal experience on street bikes. In your opinion is all the talk of this bike being "too much for a beginner" just hype?

It depends on how you ride it.. take it chill and its not a bad bike at all. Is it the best to learn on, no.. But isn't going to just flip over or anything. I'd ride the 09, 07 and Kawasaki z900 or gsx 750 and see what you feel happy with every day..

The FZ09 needs the Proton 500 front blinkers, same as Jake has on his FZ07. They're fantastic, I just put them on my FZ8 a few weeks ago. Get rid of those big orange floppy dongs!

Depends where you live because the longest part is the shipping. You send the ECU and he immediately flashes it. I think mine was $200ish when I had it done.

@Donald Trump's Space Force Well... In terms of time and bolts/nuts/lockpins removed, wheels are way easier, just a couple of turns of a socket and you're done
