After a recon trip up Logans Ridge on Sat 8th July to 892m elevation, I ventured out on 15th July with Peter at 5:30am to experience the most dangerous and challenging hike I have ever done. It was a week of hesitation and anticipation, and the climb didn't disappoint. It was both beautiful and brutal. The early morning sunrise was majestic, the piercing winds howled through the trees, the steep trails were testing, and the rock faces were imposing. Overall it was exhilarating. Far more difficult than the SE Ridge route, this was an epic hike. There were a few sections where a slip on a rock face would have meant falling hundreds of metres to our death.
