@@maganhassan2627 i meant the soundtrack, not the games, my bad i wrote remasters instead of remastered. However, I don’t see any reason to laugh at my comment
I'll never not love this theme. You're rushing and trying to climb up a hard, rocky and snowy mountain whilst intense music that fills your adrenaline is playing, definitely one of my favorite areas.
I agree, it gave me sort of those sad or blue vibes a little mixed with a jazzy feel. I may have gotten things mixed up, but that's sort of what I got from it. lol
The reason this theme is so good is because they keep it very similar to the old one, while just making a couple small changes to make it more modern. It will always be a good theme.
Oh man, this is a nice arrangement. It really maintains that creepy-yet-catchy vibe. The one thing keeping it from being perfect to me is when the bass comes in. It felt like it hit you so much harder in the original, whereas in this one it feels like each note decays too quick. But the brass and percussion really hold it up in spite of that.
@@Tpcool Kageyama's style just doesn't fit the Gen 4 soundtrack. The songs still sound fine as a whole but many are wholly lacking expression and character. The DPPt soundtrack is very diverse in genre - using the same drums (and probably the same bass) everywhere is such a disservice. It was still okay for ORAS's mostly orchestral pieces but for BDSP basically every jazz/rock piece got ruined by it, bad mixing, a lack of quality and the overall muddiness notwithstanding. There is terrible sax programming (of the virtual instrument, listen to the glissandos) and also a piano that sounds rigid and lifeless (because it literally is the same PianoTeq patch for all pieces played with the same velocity). Get any competent pianist/keyboardist to live-record (to a MIDI) and stuff like Pokemon League, Floaroma Town (Day) and Route 228 (Night) would be vastly improved.
This song is actually quite scary in a way. The beginning is very slow and kind of mysterious, and after a few seconds it becomes almost a panic, because Team Galactic are about to initiate their grand plan and YOU have to stop them. But it's still good.
say what you will about the games art style/graphics ,but man does the soundtrack slap I personally had a lot of fun playing these games, It might have just been blind nostalgia but either way I had a lot of fun with the remakes
Personally, I had a lot of fun too! Gen 4 is my favourite Gen, so me having fun was practically guaranteed since I still love the formula. I think what upset people more is the fact that firstly, they used Diamond and Pearl as a blueprint rather than Platinum, which is honestly a shame. Platinum fixed issues like the lack of fire-type Pokémon that Diamond and Pearl had. Furthermore, they basically didn't add anything unique except for the reworked Underground (which sadly was a downgrade, the CTF-Base building of the originals was so much more fun!). Whats even more offputting is that in ORAS, the remake before BDSP, they used the "improved" emerald as a blueprint for the game and added the whole new Rayquaza storyline (I think it was called Delta Episode) as well as the new Latias/Latios flying, different islands switching depending on which day and all of the previous legendaries in special little "events". BDSP was essentially just a remaster rather than a remake and wouldn't have been percieved so poorly upon release if this had been disclosed beforehand. Also, a lot of people didn't really enjoy the artstyle which I agree with. Still, the game is a lot of fun but that's mostly because original Gen 4 were such good games. I had a lot of fun with BDSP but it could've been much, much more if GameFreak hadn't been forced to outsource this game. They had way too much work in too short of a time (Legends Arceus in 2022, Scarlet/Violet ALSO in 2022 and BDSP released November '21)
FINALLY I got a hold of a good pair of earphones, because I NEEDED to Identify what was missing in this one, since I always felt like something in this remastered track did not add up. Turns out I was wrong, it's not something missing but too much of something... In this case... Percussion. The percussion in this track pierces way too much, drowning all the other instruments at the climax of the song, that's why I keep liking the original, as the percussion has the right amount as to bring bass to the mix while not muffling all the other instruments.
*😲 HOLY FRICK! The original Mt. Coronet theme just blew me right away, but THIS new remix sucked me right up into the bloomin' Stratosphere! 😀 Mt. Coronet's theme is, and always will be, my FAVOURITE piece of music in all of Pokémon! Have a Pokétastic day, everybody!! 😅😆👍✌*
