finally a new hike after 6 months since i last went on hiking. this one's another DIY hike with more friends (more people,less expense lol). we went again to tanay, rizal for a new hike. this one's almost the same as mt. batolusong.
this is my favorite hike yet!
here are the full details (budget & itinerary)
mt. mapalad
765 masl (3/9 difficulty)
itinerary
5:10am - otw to meetup place at mcdo cubao
6:05am - mcdo cubao
6:30am - ride a jeep from cubao (along aurora blvd) to cogeo gate 2
7:10am - alight at cogeo gate 2
7:30am - ride a jeep bound to sampaloc alight at batangasan (san andres)
8:30am - arrive at batangasan (san andres)
8:31am - ride a tricycle (tell drivers that you're going to mt. mapalad)
8:39am - arrive at mt. mapalad registration
8:55am - start (going to jumpoff)
9:33am - arrive at jumpoff
11:11am - summit
12:23pm - start descending
1:31pm - back at jumpoff / quick dip
2:04pm - continue descending back to registration
2:50pm - shower
3:20pm - late lunch
4:00pm - ride back to manila
budget
php 35 - cubao to cogeo gate 2
php 55 - cogeo to batangasan(san andres)
php 50 - trike to mt. mapalad registration
php 100 - registration
php 20 - entry fee to lagoon (quick dip/swim)
php 20 - shower
php 215 - tour guide (750/guide 5:1 -- in our case of 7 pax, 2 guides so 1,500/7pax)
php 130 - lunch (tapsi)
php 167 - trike to highway (500/tricycle, 500/3pax)
php 50 - ejeep to lrt antipolo station
php 35 - lrt to recto
total = 877 each
