Sick! I’m headed there this weekend! I’m a little newer with double black descents would you say the NE face is doable for someone newer to that kind of terrain?
Sorry for the late reply! In good conditions, corn is a very forgiving type of snow. The run itself is wide open with a clean runout to the bottom. The slope angle is right around what most resorts would call a 'double black' (typically 35-40°). Without having skied with you personally, I'd have a hard time making that judgement call. I'd say the safer option would be the South Slopes, but if you like what you see when you're up there (including personal confidence and comfort), it may be worth trying. You must’ve posted this three weeks ago, but when you skied down the NE face this was, February or March correct? There cannot be that much snow up there this time of year.
