Yes bro. At this price point, all helmets will make wind noise. However, in my experience, this one seems to be on the quieter side compared to some other brands like SMK, Scorpion (cheap ones), Axor, and Axxis.
Nah bro. Every helmet in this range will make some noise. mine even whistles sometimes if I turn my head a certain way lmao. It's because of the vents and all, so no need to worry. For future reference, if the noise is too loud even at 80, then there might be a problem. Usually, that's down to how the helmet fits on your face; small gaps near the cheeks can also create some wind noise. Sometimes, the bike's visor can also make noise. Like my KTM 390 ADV's stock windscreen creates a lot of buffeting noise on the helmet. I fixed it by adding a secondary visor on top of it. @@smith2186
Its quite comfortable, but yes, it will get a little dirty. Every padding gets dirty, but since this is blue, the dirt is visible. haha. But its removable, so nothing to worry about.
Thank you so much for the review Just want to ask, how's the wind noise around at the speeds of 80-100 kmph ? And while touring does it feel heavy? Because I have Axor Apex, while touring. After 2-3 hours I I face neck pain
Hey, glad you liked it. So the helmet fits me really well, so the wind noise is quite low at touring speeds. It’s obviously not as low as you’d expect from an AGV or something, but compared to other helmets, this one is quiet. Does get a bit loud over 130. The weight is also balanced, it doesn’t feel heavy and I haven’t faced any neck pain on long rides. I used to feel that pain with my SMK Twister. If I am not wrong, this one is a bit lighter than Axor and has good aerodynamics.
Minor differences between the two. I've never used the Thunder 3, but from what I see online, it's got a micrometric retention step as opposed to Revenge's Double-D rings, and it's got a sun visor. Safety wise, both are ECE 22.05. So, if you want something that's easy to strap and with a sun visor, go for Thunder 3. Otherwise, Revenge 2 is great (although it lacks a sun visor lol). Easy: get the Thunder 3 if you plan on touring. Also, wear both and see which one you find more comfortable. The liner and shell is different, so you may find one more comfortable than the other.
I’d choose MT anyday. Also, Axor Rage Carbon isn’t a carbon fibre helmet. But still, I’d suggest you try both of them on and see which one fits you well. They’re both safe helmets and similar quality wise. So it’s up to you.
Sir one more thing,..how is the SMK Titan series? It is mentioned that the shell is made of fibre glass material...how durable is that? It also costs around 9k and thank you for the previous recommendation.
@@abhirupdas1876 Hey please don't call me sir, bro, haha. SMK makes awesome helmets. I have personally never used Titan but I've used SMK Twister for two years and I was really happy with it. Fiberglass is lighter and theoretically better than polycarbonate, so I guess the Titan should feel lighter compared to a polycarbonate helmet. Durability wise you don't have to worry, all ECE 22.05/22.06 helmets meet the minimum requirements for durability and safety. 9K seems like a good price for a composite fiber helmet. Again, in this range, I'd rate MT and SMK at the same level. Again, wear and see which one fits your head the best.
Yes bro. All helmets I’ve owned make squeaky sound. It’s probably the panels and glue, nothing to worry about. As long as the EPS liner doesn’t move around in the shell, it’s okay. But if you’re worried, take it to the shop you purchased it from. Peace of mind is important.
Hi bro, The chin curtain is a little big, granted, but it hasn't been an issue for me. And I generally have a beard. If you are facing this problem, see if MT has smaller chin curtains that would fit the helmet. If not, chuck the curtain it doesn't make big of a difference except some dust on your face and slightly higher noise levels.
Hi bro, The wind noice is quite manageable. At 80-90, it’s quiet. About 100, it gets a little noise but not much to deafen you. And yes, intercom is audible at that speed, too. It’s got good sound insulation, not as good as something like an Arai or Shoei but better than what I’ve experienced in helmets in this price range.
Depends on your budget bro, but get an MT or SMK helmet under 10k, if you can stretch your budget, scorpion is good too. MT has some touring specific helmets that will suit your preference.
So as far as I know, Revenge 1 was SHARP 5 rated. In this version, the shell is the same except a few minor differences like the double d ring. So yes, it should be too. I remember reading somewhere that it is, but I can’t find the source at the moment.
bro appreciate your video quality and damm!! impressive communication skills bro i have one question i am going to switch from steelbird basic fullface helmet to mt but i am confused that i should go for mt targo or and increase budget and go for revenge???
Thank you so much! That means a lot. About your query - depends on your budget and features you want. At the most basic sense, all MT helmets are ECE certified so you wouldn’t go wrong with any of them. As far as I know, mt targo is very similar to Revenge 2 but has SHARP 3 star rating. And that’s not a bad thing for the price. I’d suggest you try the helmets on. I guess Targo’s shell shape is slightly different from revenge because I couldn’t fit my head in that. If I recall correctly, it was targo. But again, I have a weird head shape hahaha Just try the helmets and see which one you find most comfortable. Cheers.
@@thebloobiker yaa you are right, i see there is not much more difference between two of these except inner padding but in videos i see there is a thick padding in revenge as compare to targo remaining all things are near fully similar in both of these
@@Devenjoshii yes bro. Revenge is more race oriented. Let me know which one you end up choosing. I’d love to hear your experience regarding the same. If you have a good budget, I’d highly recommend choosing MT Thunder 4 - it’s ECE 22.06 with emergency tabs on cheek pads. It’s for 13k but so worth it.
@@thebloobikerlastly I was planning for mt thunder 4 sv top of the mt lineup an aggressive looks with aerodynamics but my preference for helmet is double D ring instead of quick release and as much as lighter and both these are not match in thunder 4sv I don't know much about helmets but i think a sun visor increases weight of helmet because of their mechanism so thunder 4sv may be heavier than revenge 2 and targo I just confused in targo and revenge 2 because they are same in weight and comes with double D ring but i digged in internet and watched 100 of videos to differentiate these two and i got just 2 or 3 diffrence and major what i got is only padding which really a thick in revenge as not in targo i live in jodhpur rajasthan and there is not any shop where mt helmets are available
Hi bro, I’ve never used a KYT helmet but from what I’ve heard, they’re amazing helmets. They make helmets for MotoGP, so they know what they’re doing. KYT was my other option when I was buying the helmet but the shop was way too far so I picked MT instead.
Yes it is. I’ve found it to be quite comfortable with glasses, but again, depends on the shape of your head. I’d recommend you wear it and see. Cheers.
Hey, thanks. Yes, they are great, safe options since ECE 22.06 is anyday safer than 22.05. The only reservation I have about this brand is quality, since I (and others in my circle) have never used it. If you have used the helmet or can speak for its quality, do let us know.
@@praneethk3632 Try it on! You never know, it might surprise you. Afaik, MT helmets are perhaps the best helmets you can buy in this price range followed by SMK. SMK is insanely good, too, just that their shape is not suitable for my head. Try these helmets on and see which one you like the best bro and one that fits your head best.
HI everyone, STOP PROMOTING MT HELMETS and praising them. you will only understand their face when you go for warranty. as a user of MT helmet I had bad experience in warranty claim and i would suggest people to stop promoting this brand. retailers will sell anything for money, please be aware everyone.
Hi bro, that sucks. I just want to let you know that I am not promoting this helmet, it is my personal experience. But if you don't mind, please elaborate on your issue so everyone can make an informed decision. Thank you for your insight, it would be really helpful.
