Very well done video and very enjoyable. I love the footage you captured to provide a true glimpse of what this trail is like and the various junctions with other trails. I think I'll give this approach to Mt. Jacinto a try in the spring this season whenever conditions becomes best.
Excellent distance for a day hike, especially considering the heat and climbs. The good ol' PCT and it's 3 degree ascent/descent limits gave ya a bit of respite in the middle. Glad ya had a nice view and weren't clouded out. It's too bad the Idyllwild mayor (the dog) wasn't out and about to greet ya. Thanks for sharing your hike.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful scenery along the hike. I also enjoyed the commentary. While you were at the top caught a glimpse of someone's hat. Glad you were not chased by the snake. Stay safe!
Nice video. I haven't done that trail yet. I really want to go to Caramba camp some day but I understand the trail is gone since the fire. I really enjoy your videos.
Was researching going up Marion to Jacinto and happened across your video. I am like you, I found Jacinto area just fantastic of the SoCal hikes I’ve been on, by far my favorite (I went up via the c2c). Hiking guy has a route from Deer Springs that intersects then goes down to Wellmans divide and that loop. I’ll probably end up doing that just for the extra miles to make the 2.5h drive worth it but your video gave a lot of quality info. Thanks you. 🌲🌲🌲
@@susannesadventurejournal1920 for the record, the loop (San Jacinto Peak Loop Trail on Alltrails or San Jacinto Peak from Deer Springs on Hiking Guy) was spectacular and completely enjoyable, did it last Monday. Highly recommend.
I especially like that you are saying/mentioning "elevations" as you hike + elevation gains. My favorite mountain trail/hike is up to the 12,633' summit of Mt Humphrey near Flagstaff, Arizona. Trailhead begins at 9,200'. I also thoroughly enjoy the Mt Rose trail up to the summit of 10,672' here in Nevada. Trailhead begins @ 8,820'. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
@@susannesadventurejournal1920 - You're narrating a video while hiking UPhill at high altitude, and you just keep going and going. You are too modest. JMO.
