Karen and I, along with John and Dawn took the Mt. Teide and Masca Valley Tour in Tenerife Bus Tour. West Tenerife’s landscapes are a must-see, but difficult to access independently without a rental car. This coach tour wraps up the main highlights in a day, with a guide to bring them alive. Cross Mt. Teide National Park, visit Garachico, see the Dragon Tree, and stroll in the mountain-ridge village of Masca. We saw Teide, Vilaflor, and Garachico, and visited Masca perched the between ravines. The view from Masca was the oposite of the view we got yesterday via the catamaran from the bottom of the ravine.
The drive up the mountains on those roads were the scariest thing we experienced during the whole vacation. The 15' roads were switchback after switchback with traffic coming the other direction. Kudos to our amazing driver for completing the route with no mishaps. It was some serious butt-puckering roads... especially on a bus with 50+ people gasping the whole way.
