Nice install and upgrade, The MT10 has the same steering servo saver, Once you get it where you want it put a little super glue on the threads so it will not move again other wise it is just going to keep loosening up
I almost bought one, but it looked like it needed upgrades. But that was just looking at it. I was afraid of week shafts and diffs stripping. Again, I loved the way it looked but seems like you proved me wrong! Looks like a great truck and awesome how to! Thanks AJ!!!👍👊👏
Hey Speed! Hope you're doing well buddy. Diffs are actually really strong on the mt8 Speed! The weak spots are the arms, turnbuckles, hubs, hub carriers and stub shafts.. kaiju and arrma parts really help improve the durability of this rig. I've got a few videos on it myself if you're interested. I finally broke the wheelie bar after a hundred bad landings on it, and have a surprise mod coming next Friday. Not sure if it will be stronger, but it's going to look majestic as heck! Lol.
I usually go for heat and a brand new, tight fitting tool. If that fails or you’ve stripped it out completely it can be almost impossible to remove. Best of luck. If you get it out please share how you did it with the community; it’s always awesome to learn something new and help others along the way 👍
Hi, you seem to know what you doing. I'm new to this hobby and I want to buy 1/10 scale truck and I have 300$ budget (including battery and charger). What would be the fastest and most durable option? Thanks!
Bud I’ve been in this hobby for 35yrs. For that price point you are looking at a brushed vehicle. Look at the Arrma 3s series. Check out tower hobbies and horizon hobbies scratch and dent. Also consider easy pay. They divide the payments into 3 and ship when first payment is made. Let’s you have more options.
@@SnoriRC btw, the MT8 is still on my RC wish list because it's pretty awesome. (my RC list is a very, very long list 😂 😂) I'll wait for the V2 though.. Do you remember how the MT10 Rival was a bit weak when it was first released.?.. Associated revised a couple of things & It's one of the best 10th scale bashers you can get now.! I'm guessing the MT8 will be the same.. Enjoy yours, it would be awesome if you could let me know how you get on with it.. Stay safe out there mate & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🏎️ 🚓 🚔 🚖 🚗 🚙 🚚 🚛 🏍️ 🛫 🚤 ✈️!
How right you are about the use of power tools Last year I was using a dremel on my Talion and I leaned a little closer to get a better view and my long hair flopped forward and tangled around the tool 😵 Luckily the dremel jammed up and stalled , but not before I lost 4/5 inches of my hair on one side 🤦♀️ A more powerful tool would have been much worse . I now tie up my hair and stuff it inside a baseball cap . Safety first people 👍
@@AJJAMStudios RPM and Red Cat Kaiju arms will fit. The Ret Cat are a lot more flexible, I'm wondering if that is going to have an impact on the driving. I just broke one of the originals, and I'm waiting on the Red Cat ones, so I don't have an answer yet.
Hey man, thanks for the video. I've been looking at the MT8 since its release. I've seen a few videos that turned me off of this truck. I didn't realize how much of the parts the Kaiju and MT8 shared.
I forget how nice captured hinge pins are till I see a TA build video. Haven't worked on a TA vehicle since the original RC10T. So now instead of breaking hub carriers you will break the glass arms. At least Arrma made an appearance with the Katars under the chassis as a stand! Thanks for the video I just don't see TA making anything near durable enough for bashing. Still great track stuff. For bashing/stunts will stick to Arrma for overall toughness.
Actually, the Team Associated MT10 is definitely one of the most durable, affordable RTR RC's there are. I haven't been able to phase it at all whereas the MT8 fell apart under the same circumstances.
Saw all your videos about this truck. Now that again some time has passed. Is the truck now durable in your opinion with the available RPM arms, alu steering rack, better turnbuckles and maybe the alu front and rear hub carriers + spindles. Or will it still break often with these upgrades? Thanks a lot.
I don't know why, but Team Associated doesn't sell the xp-r4dvc 29256 receiver(Gyro enabled receiver for the xp120 transmitter). It seems like it doesn't exist anymore.
