Many thanks! Was trying to replace that lower 'spindle drive' belt, but was having a heck of a time. Your removal of that spring was what I needed to see! For those that are wondering, as I was.... The lower 'spindle drive' belt is a 1/2" x 79" V-belt. The upper 'engine to deck' belt is a 1/2" x 90" V-belt.
That’s a bear of a deck. I certainly can understand the struggle of trying to work that belt over that pulley under all that tension. Mower is coming along nicely. Looking forward to the rest 🤘🤘
We didnt get to see Tom Doby Tire Repair in action. Whats that all about! Lol. Cold here in Iowa also Tom. Last night it got down to -7F. Today it got up to +6F. ❄🌨👍🇺🇸Roger
You need to make you a spring puller to help put those belts on, before you get your fingers caught. I made one out of a bicycle spoke. Good job Tom, those decks can be tough.
Watching you while stealth camping at Mcdonalds brother, it’s 3degrees here too, my batteries are flat and I’m frozen 🤣🤣🤣 very entertaining video Tom. You’re an incredibly entertaining guy
I’ve replaced all of the spindles which came equipped with new pulleys and bearings in the housing. Also changed all idler pulleys on the deck and I’m still getting a lot of rattling and chatter which seems to be coming from the deck.Any idea what that could be?Sounds similar to rocks being thrown around under the deck by the blades
