MTG Arena Adds INSANELY Greedy New Ticket System/Scam 

I was so excited when i saw the tickets and ticket store thinking its a nice incentive to play more games then saw that gem price immediately said nah I’m good.

Literally the only valuable thing is the draft entry. Which you need to spend 2800 gems on. Or just buy 2 regular draft entries for 3000.

I don't understand why there's practically only cosmetics in this store. I have enough tickets to buy everything in the store. And it is still not worth the entry price.

Personally, the animated card sleeve interests me. thats it. Just the card sleeve. Then I guess grab the draft token & 8 pacts for value.

Totally scummy. You're reminded every game you've earned a reward which will disappear in 48 days unless you "unlock it"

The other day I looked at the store and bundles put of curiosity, and saw the price for 4 rare and 4 mythic wild cards. Nearly inhaled a piece of chicken. The price is insane 🤣

I just itched about this. 2800 gems to be able to buy some crap cosmetics.

This honestly isnt as bad as a lot of games out there. Its not what we want but it could be worse.

I could be wrong but it just looks like a worse mastery pass. The tickets replace the exp and you can just chose rather than progress. And as such they don't even have to care about balance and if you could even buy all the items. And most importantly, there is no gem return for tickets. Almost looks like the final form, I say almost because I expect the week before it expires the store will have a ticket bundle you buy with gems. Ya know to hammer home the fomo and cash grab.

I think the term you are looking for is FOMO

Even the most thoroughly monetized korean MMO's like Lost Ark for example release event shops like these regularly, without having to pay an access fee. Wizzrads has literally become greedier than one of the most pay to win sectors in gaming, which is korean MMO's. It's a shame, this event shop could've been such a nice gift to the community, especially sine MH3 is probably the most anticipated set of recent memory but no, can't give people too much for free.

I rarely get the battlepass, duo it being hard fo rme to really get all dailys and stuff. So that i even get to the premium pet... The pay 250 to level up thing makes me cringe too. When i saw these tickets i was like "Wow, Wotc decided to give out free stuff for MH3?" ... 10 seconds later "Wait a minute ..." . It's just greedy. If there was a Pet from the get go. Maybe a Psychic Frog Sleeve. Some packs or a draft token too. Then maybe yes. But given the limit of 1 Draft, 8 Packs and random Mythics ... not even wildcards ... Yeah. I will stick to getting pre-realese codes from people who dont want them.

As someone who doesn't pay for the game at all, I love the new ticket. it gives a lot more free options to get cosmetics if that is what you want. Not as good if you want packs.

Reporting from a star city games con in Vegas. It was a shit show no food anywhere near the convention. I left in round 6 after my match to get some food. They use Melee to track and the app didn’t update so I was there minutes late back given and given a loss. I was 4-2 if I won I would have cashed the event. Wasted all the money and time to lose because their app is shit. I made them file a ticket but I doubt anything will ever be done. They wanted to just let the app keep sucking and having people show up late.

They should also do the meme of the asian guy from uhf doing the wheel of fish saying you so stupid when someone buys this .

So it’s a badly marketed battle pass for mh3. Ok. Honestly I find it less offensive than most battle passes since you can earn gems even if arena is unreasonably stingy overall.

Idk this seems like a decent deal. Between just the token and the packs you're getting your gems worth. Its kinda like a pick your own rewards battlepass which is my prefered kind of battlepass.

if you play those 1500 gem drafts it may be worth it, over the course of the 48 days you could probably get enough tickets to play quite a few of those drafts, getting most of your gems back and some packs/icrs, as well as some horizons packs and other stuff from the shop, I'm pretty sure it's well worth it thanks to that draft token.
