Opponent could have also exiled two creatures with Binding of the Titans (leaving Collected Company in the graveyard) and chumped the 3/3 elves to stay at one life.
One card I've used in a similar deck is skyclace apparition, no +1/+1 counter sinergy but it's just so good to get of company, can clear the way for lethal next turn Edit: it was a game just like the spiritdancer one where I decided to put it in
24:40 has anyone ever seen the spirit dancer deck run counters like Spell Pierce? It's always on my mind when I'm playing Forsaken Monument against them but I've never seen it
end of the first match pissed me off, i was hoping to see all the counters resolve, thought the opponent was gonna let it. (and if I'm not mistaken, LVD felt the same way cause it looked like he was doing his best to click on all the right triggers as fast as possible)
Surprised to see only 3 Oozes, this card feels like it would be key for this kind of archetype. Same with the white 2 drop. If anything, I'd cut a bunch of 1 drops and go for more 2 and 3 drops, 1 drops are pretty bad with company. I play a Gruul list I copied from somewhere, so far 72% winrate in BO3 events, and it only plays 2 pelt collectors and 4 Llanovar elves as 1 drops, while your list plays 10. I know you can grow collectors faster, but they will usually only grow once, since all your creatures are small, so I don't think they are all that great. Additionally, some proliferate effects might be nice to have, maybe 1 of white/green Ajani as well? Oh, and most importantly, the Selesnya 3 drop that can either get 2 counters or destroy artifact or enchantment is perfect for this deck.
Knight of autumn is a great addition to this deck since so many artifact ramp around! Agreed about 1-drops, especially then u hit it with coco it feels underpowered
Opponent misplayed game 1. By stomping you mid combat, they would have put you to dead because of prowess. In the heat of the moment, might be tough because a land drop isn’t guaranteed, but it mattered here
at least 30 creatures? thats a bit excessive, like, ofc the more the better, but you actually need "at least" 22 for it to be a playable company deck (giving you a 74% chance to hit 2 creatures)
