My god! This is some 5head combo right here, I love it. I could taste the confusion of the goblin player when his attack did nothing. That pause, the highlight over solemnity as he was reading the text... It's beautiful.

Hi there, 3rd time playing against you in your vids lol. I was your first opp, i didnt know you had unsummon so i was curious what was your wincon is, thats why i let it play out, sorry about that. Also i was playing New Perspectives deck. Almost everything including most of the lands have cycling in the deck. So you cycle everything and buy back those cards with Shadow of the Grave, and cycle everything again until you can cast Thassa's Oracle. Vizier of Tumbling Sands cycle ability untaps lands and you can also get untap lands with Shefet Monitor's cycle ability so you can combo out the turn you play the New Perspectives, but it feels like weaker version of Song of Creation combo.

That makes a lot of sense! Haven't brewed with New Perspectives yet, but like you said it might not be fast enough. I'm glad I got to go through the entire combo in our match, so thank you for playing it out!

@@LegenVD Yeah it feels too slow(especially against aggro) because you have to get 6 mana. Cards in the deck are more useful compared to bunch of 0 drops because you can cycle them for card draw even without perspectives,but song of creation is much faster.

@@mirkogrossi4431 I thought about that card but you have to find it and play it the turn you play new perspectives. And finding it will be harder because you will have less cycling cards, so you can brick out pretty easily.

Most Arena players have moved past the starter decks, so they wouldn't have a large audience.

Hey LVD! I'm a seasoned mtga player and I still watch some of your deck upgrade videos because you talk about focusing on a mechanic and your logic of what to cut and especially when you play, run into some issue, and edit the deck is still useful. So I'd love for you to cover the new starter decks!

@LegenVD For what it's worth, I started in MTGA right before Ikoria came out and the deck upgrade guides are how I found your channel. I now subscribe to you on YT and Twitch, and watch your content pretty much daily -- these videos could still be a valuable hook :) Also as a newb, just getting your insights and approach to taking the starting decks in a more cohesive and competitive direction is awesome, I am now getting confident enough to build and try my own budget brews. Really appreciate your content, and thanks for helping scrubs like me improve my brews, tactics and thinking.

Loved this video and deck. Gave me inspiration to rebuild my Tuvasa enchantments EDH deck. But remade with these combos. These interactions seems like they'll be really strong against my meta. Love the content too!! Keep it up.

I run this solemn combo plus Mothra and Kroxa in white black red with removal, so I either OTK or I cannot die and both tutors. By turn 6 you either are safe vs most decks or you won via endless damage. The rest is stuff like treasure map which is either ramp or an endless scry tool, super nice synergy with solemn

I built almost same monowhite list featuring Cavalier of dawn as a infinity suicide golem factory, and crashing drawbridge for haste. One of the best deck I've played. Maybe should be in orzhov, but I have no idea how to modify it correctly.

Hey LVD, have you considered running a copy of emergence zone to let you play thassa's Oracle at instant speed? It negate proofs to final combo to some extent.

18:32 "Hopefully I'm not dead to Vito giving everything lifelink here." You were. Minimum 6 damage to face, then 8 damage from Vito + lifelink, while you were on 12 life. Opponent just felt compelled to do their Citadel thing, I guess.

maybe i wasn't paying close enough attention but seems like you can get in trouble if you play thassa's oracle and then the 2nd one gets thoughtseized or something. might be useful to have some instant speed way to get it back from the yard or shuffle it from hand into library. just so that you can avoid drawing it until you're actually doing the combo and drawing your whole deck.

Sometimes it's worth taking that risk. You can always just win with Uro and Broodmoth attacks.

This combo is SO MUCH EASIER with Kroxa, dude! It's over in max 10 cycles, you can cast it easier, there's better protection spells and board wipes in Mardu, you can tutor up cards... It can potentially win on turn 5 (turn 4 broodmoth, turn 5 solemnity then kroxa).

Sameish combo in mardu except I use kroxa 3 card combo instead of a 5 card but i don’t have as much ramp or draw

Doesn’t a draw get triggered if the same action is taken like 30 times in a row? I forget the specific number but I remember something like that existing for Arena

I recall it being ~30 loops of the same action as well. You could crack a Fabled Passage every now and then to break the duplicate actions up.

the old marauding raptor + polyraptor combo did 25 loops before it forced a draw this case seems to not get affected because sometimes you put a land in play with uro and sometimes you don't i would guess

Sure, although Uro digging towards other combo pieces was more helpful when it was still legal.

I haven't seen this particular version on ladder yet, but I have run into a mardu variant of this deck that uses Kroxa instead of Uro/Oracle. Less cards needed, but you lose out on ramp. Might be an idea for a follow up vid.

Feel like you could do this in mardu with Kroxa for a quicker wincon - just kill them with repeated Kroxa triggers. You do lose the ramp from G/U though

I want to build a deck around this card but I don’t want to use my wild card and I would like to create a immortal creature token while mocking the players with mother of machine.
