Hornet Nest is technically an insect, so you could regenerate that one and still get 1/1 flying deathtouch tokens equal to the damage dealt. It's probably just cute, but I dunno, bowmasters becomes ping your nest get a 1/1 and a flying 1/1 deathtouch. The aether vial could offset both how mediocre the 0/2 for 3 is and ambush with it.

I'm waiting for PleasantKenobi to add the rats and Swarmyard to his old Hornet Nest deck. Is regenerating after a Blasphemous Act overkill? Probably, yes. Will it be fun to watch? Also yes.

With Asmo and Nest, you could also make 6 tokens for 2 food. It's probably still not enough to cook (hehe) with it, but seems interesting.

I don't think the Tangled colony did as well as it looks. Most of the powerful moments came from the opponent not understanding the card.

Chatterfang could be fun here - its a squirrel for swarmyard and you’ll get squirrel tokens / removal as an added bonus on top of all the token generation the deck already has!

You should consider utilizing Bushwack OR Blizzard Brawl! Bushwack has the bonus of landcycling early game, then you can slam your rat into their whatever you need to as removal mid game! Blizzard Brawl has the funny bonus of if you have 3 or more snow permanents, that creature gain +1/+0 and INDESTRUCTIBLE then fights! Now you've got a 4/2 indestructible and however many rats as the power of the attacked creatures, and you can still attack with your colony which is still indestructible (Bonus Points for killing omnath in the fight!)!

It's honestly one of the most redeeming qualities of daddy if we're being honest. He isn't just a good deck builder, or a good memer, he's also an incredibly good player. He understand the meta and what he's playing in a level I sometimes can't even keep up with. I mean, he builds sideboards like any of us really, thinking about the deficiencies of the main deck. But what he sideboards sometimes is lunacy, and yet it works. Just goes to show the level he's in, really.

Suggestion, if I may: Instead of slotting in swarmyard just to get some incidental value off of your creatures dying, why not construct a full deck that can make use of it? We've gotten a fair bit of rat support over the recent years, and with how prevalent removal is in the modern format, it almost seems IDEAL to run these cards with swarmyard. After all, what good is your opponents evoked fury if it gets bricked by a land? Maybe my logic is loose, but the brew juice is flowing

Omnath is going to continue to be a problem until they get rid of it. Im usually not one to say ban x card, but the fact that it has a pulitzer prize winning novel for a text box, gaining life, ramping, and pitching to the elementals if you really need it makes the deck obnoxious. It was sort of in check between the yorion ban and now, but with beanstalk its just too much again.

Honestly, the only reason I watch Aids' videos is because he keeps it fresh even if the decks still have several "musts" of the format. Sure, it has god damn bauble, but who in their right mind is playing anything close to this combo?

Please, Swarmyard is used only for Relentless Rats decks. Especially if you use something that gives Ripple on them. Like Thrumming Stone.
