hey vinz! thanks for the comment, i appreciate it! yeah, sure, the cards are 30 years old, so aome of them have discoloration. i often see yellowing on some cards from the sun or from not being stored properly. i personally try to keep my cards in a rather ‘neutral’ environment. means i have them in normal room temperature and i double sleeve all of my high end cards, to keep them almost sealed airtight. besides that i do not really expose them to sunlight. so i personally do not have a problem with discoloration that much. i think ot certainly affects the grade and value to a certain degree, same as it does with for example comic books. hope that helps 👊🏻

i tend to disagree. UNL is always the better option above CE and ICE, for players as well as for collectors, imho. 👊🏻

@@NerdAndProudOfIt Every ICE card has 1/3 the print run of the rares from Unlimited, CE cards have around two thirds the print run - the scarcity isn't even comparable. And in terms of surviving population it isn't even close at this point with the CE/ICE cards having the square corners, the flaking gold paint, and being purposely destroyed to be used for re-backs. Look at any graded population and the ICE/CE version is always only a fraction of the number of Unlimited copies that have been graded. Lastly look at sales, where the ICE/CE versions sell for anywhere from 1/10 to 1/3 the price of the Unlimited version. Square corners and gold backs or not these are Magic cards from 1993 and the secondary market for them when taking into account their rarity is the largest market inefficiency in Magic, which is why it is the biggest opportunity.

@@fourcolorinvestments8378 but they are not allowed in tournament play, neither in many playgroups. don’t get me wrong, i hear ya, and i agree with your point, but they are a niche product. same as for example old antiquities artist proofs, which have a population of 50, so using the printrun argument, only a fraction of those are around compared to the regular set. does that make them a huge opportunity? again, i hear ya, and at my kitchentable CE certainly is allowed, as well as AP’s or even proxies, but technically they are not real magic cards. i know many players who do not collect nor play with CE or ICE. therefor for me they will never fall into the opportunity category. 👊🏻
