I kinda like Mountain Island being that way. Nothing wrong with tournaments but it’s nice to have one lake around here that doesn’t have a tournament every weekend.

We don't talk about it because us old timers like it quiet there. Watching the bass-holes waste gas speeding back n forth while catching their guppies is funny but we don't much care for all the wake. Btw we catch more and bigger fish on cheap rods, crappy boats, and mystery bait 😄.. far less gas too.

Man I agree with you. I like Mountain Island. I do like the fact that so many people go to Norman instead though...lol. I had a pretty solid day out Tuesday on MI.
I'm heading out on Norman tomorrow. Frogs have been working up river in shady pockets in backs of creeks. The few I have seen on beds seem to get mad at a 3inch white tube. They definitely hit the tube but I'm 50/50 on hooking them. Only try a spawning bass if they are sizable. Other then that the wacky worm is wearing out the small spots. Great video man, good luck.

I haven’t been to Mnt. Island in a while. Haven’t done that great there in the past. You should check out Moss Lake. Would love to know your thoughts on it after fishing. It’s a small lake so you should be able to cover most of it on your first trip. 👊
Last time I was there (Riverbend boat ramp) some thieves removed and stole the headlights from someone's truck while they were out boating. I lock everything now when heading out including tailgate and trailer hitches.
@@landonmoore76 mostly large mouth is in lake wiley but the common size is about 3lb it fishes alot like lake hickory but try it out who knows it might become your favorite like
