MTN MOMO LADY JAILED FOR MISTAKENLY SENDING THIRTY THOUSAND GHANA CEDIS 

The boss is wicked and greedy! You have worked with the lady for 5 years and she was paying the money, you sent her to prison and you still wants the money back? Hmmm when people are going through stuff they blame witches. Please crime check remember the remaining money is now 23,200 not 30,000 anymore because she paid 3,800 and also when the person was making the transfer, he paid 3,000. May she be favoured in all her endeavour

Oh my goodness, I can't believe the heartlessness of the judge. What an inhuman judgement! What's the essence of sentencing the girl to prison if it's still required that she pays the money again. Those days, every normal mobile money user cashout for a day is 2000 or 5000. So why it is that the person can cashout 30,000 that same day

it's rather unfortunate that she had to go through all this. I will blame MTN people or that service provider for allowing these fraudsters to continually defraud innocent citizens of their hard earned money. A colleague at the office narrated how he encountered a similar issue, he contacted mtn as soon as the money was sent and they asked him to come to the office before they could even block the user who received the money. he complained that it will take a while to get to their office but they still insisted. He got there after 30mins or so and when he reached the office, he was told that the money was withdrawn in some few minutes and the number is currently unreachable. He took legal action against them and the later compensated him after the legal battle. But how many people have the finances to seek for justice in such a matter?

When politicians and friends of politicians intentionally and fraudulently send themselves our monies, no be criminal. Poor woman wrongfully sends money, them go talk lock am up make e die. Aboa a ɔnni dua, Nyame na ɛpra ne ho. ''Poverty no good'' but our justice system is worse. Nyame is our judge.

This is why our country is suffering,,injustice,,wickedness,,and evil mind set

Why paying the money back? She had served her sentence for 21/2 yrs in prison, and i don't think she needs to pay anything back. It cant happen in Canada, trust me

Nothing works better in Ghana! The person she mistakenly sent the money to vanished without a trace and the authorities couldn't get hold of him? Nothing like that isn't possible in Europe.

we have a very serious problem with our police CID and our court system in Ghana. we should be very careful the citizens will not lose trust in these institutions. Its becoming very frustrating living in Ghana because of these institutions.

It's the judge responsibility to ask the defendant if she had something to say. She shouldn't pay the money. She has already been punished for the alleged crime.

Professionally speaking, the lady didn't help matters at all... The way she boldly accepted to go to the law Court when the CID called to inform her of it, she should have equally mastered the courage to seek audience with the Judge that she had started paying back the money to her boss via the CID officer... Because that forms a good ground / reason to consider ADR !

The Police service should be recruiting graduates and educate them properly on basic Human rights and how to selflessly execute their judicial task properly. Police service isn't necessarily for school dropouts and shouldn't also be politicized

no no no.... this is not right... the network provider should be able to trace and block the account. This is simple considering the amount involved.

@Crime Check Tv I had a similar experience, The issue you are talking about, MTN checking the details and all to trace. MTN doesn't make any effort to get the person. I made several calls and nothing like that was done.

How do you jail someone when she has made partial payment? And for the judge, how do you jail someone for partial default? There is no justice in our courts.

Am not surprise this has happened to this young girl. I always quarrel with my young ladies at work for lack of concentration on what they do. Our work has to do a lot with figures and often times make those mistakes and takes time before we are able to reconcile the figures. I wish my ladies will witness this so that they could appreciate my efforts to correct them on their lack of concentration whilst working with figures.

The flaw in all this issue is The weak security sytem of tracking... there's ghana card... there's statements and vendors at which withdrawal was made... all this things was not done. Where is the integrity
