MTN Joyous Celebration teams up with musical acts from all over Africa in a heartfelt campaign initiated by MTN South Africa to fight Ebola and Xenophobia.
just as i started watching this video, i have been experiencing goosebumps from the start till the end of the video, most of it all is seeing these artists in one studio from different African countries, where i could not see who sang better than anyone but i saw one united voice coming out in different forms. i am i wish such programs could expand and be done every year ...
Still watching this in 2022 and not taking ANYTHING away from the original, but hearing this song done by my fellow Africans just hits differently. I am from South Africa and no matter your race, religion etc...we all understand and feel the struggle. Africa...the most beautiful continent in the world!!
Who would think, that a simple song, sung by some of the finest artists in America after 25 to 35 years, would still be as popular as the day it was released, right now with what is going on, it serves to unite the people with one common goal show how we can be United in the fight
You are right, after all that is the whole point of the song. At the time they where focusing on Africa, but the wording were intended to Unite not just the people of the U.S in helping the people of Africa, but to do the same with other people of other countries, in other words humanity as a whole, no matter the time, and no matter who need the help.
golden voices. let us not lie tu. thandiswa mazwai's humbles me with her whole-packageness and Kelly khumalo's voice is also on another level...I love this version
I totally agree! I've got chills and tears listening to this version for the first time. So inspiring and moving, especially with the background chants and harmonies.
Thank you my brothers and sisters!!!! Up You Africans!!!! Great talent on CONTINENT!!!!! PROUD AFRICAN!!!!!😁😁😁🙏🙏🙏 Let's develop great LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Stumbled across this version, what a beautiful one!!! The best one by far! So proud to have worked for MTN also, Kidos to them for this collaboration!!! 🙏🏻
The funniest comment has to be from some lady in the comments below.. "the song would have been better if all the AFRICAN artists sang" how many African artists do we have again?? Just a mere 200 I suppose wow ... such levels of intelligence no wonder the world thinks we r a joke. When MJ and Lionel got together they did it for AFRICA coz we love handouts and made to feel helpless. So when Africans try to do something they are persecuted and ridiculed. GIVE YOURSELVES A ROUND OF APPLAUSE 4 THE CONSTANT NEGATIVITY AGAINST EACH OTHER. We are expects after all in that dpt. Killing one another and hating each other.
