Thank you for this method but be careful everyone if you change to DRD in bios, steam deck won't be able to read Bootable usb in boot manager but of course you can change it back to default and steam deck will see the bootable usb

this was working a few days ago under steam os 3.5.5, right when i updated to Steam OS 3.5.7, mtp is not anymore working

is decky loader MTP method still working? ever since the new steam OS update few months ago all decky loader plugins stopped working.

So, just to be sure, when I finish the transfer, I have to reset that usb ports configuration into the recovery mode?

I don't know why, but whenever I try this method the SD keeps poping out from PC, as if I'm unplugging it, and I have to toogle off and on again the Deck MTP switch. It's just so annoying that I can't actually transfer big files, because it'll always disconnect before it trasnfers completely. Any advice on this? Anyway, great video!

Hello, I'm a fan of yours from Brazil, I did the same as in the video but it didn't work, searching the internet I saw that now you need to update the BIOS to Final 110 or 115, can you please teach me something that works in BIOS with Final 113 or otherwise via USB? Or maybe a video showing how to update the BIOS?

I see my steam deck, but I don't see my 512 gb mcro sd card. I cant transfer any big files to it because I only have the 50 gb model. The Gb card wont show up in file explorer on my pc. Pls help this problem is rlly annoying.

Everything used to work, now it does not give the error "slow charger" and when you turn on "DeckMTP" nothing happens. Do you know what the problem is? In the bios, where the connector is for two USB ports, "DRD" is selected. I don't understand why it stopped working at all.

Interesting, I did everything correctly but my PC does not see my deck drives. BIOS usb mode confirmed to be DRD, deckMTP is on. Maybe BIOS version? Mine is F7A0110.

Dude, do you have the 64 GB Steam Deck version? Because that one has the SLOWEST SSD; in fact, it's not even an SSD M2, it's something like EMMC, which is about 7 times slower. With the 256 GB or 512 GB version, the loading time is MUCH faster, at least in my experience, its about 3 minutes only 😅. If that's your case, it would be good to mention it as a pinned comment or in the description to clarify that 😎

This messed up my windowsOS on my SD, any usb is not being detected, i ended up deleting my windows partition Now trying to install fresh windows but bootable usb with win10 is not being detected, too late the culprit is in the bios i reverted it back to XHC1, now bootable USB can be detected

1 wire only ? OMFG ! Just imagine if you used the wireless like everyone else...............and saying " Now this way will allow you get into every single folder on SD directly which is more convenient than wirelessly." is nonsense, you can do that with winscp over wifi just fine.
