No different. I knew her in the Seventies when she tried to inch me out of a TV show. I was being interviewed about `Down With Myth America` the first gender in film essay to have been published in the New York Times. Steinem was talking about the launch of `Ms` magazine. I had done a few years earlier a symposium for `Pageant` magazine, `Can Black Women and White Women Really Get Along?` On the panel Jackie Susann, Judith Viorst (`Tricia is a vanilla ice-cream cone`), Flo Kennedy, Betty Friedan, others. I myself Sandra Shevey moderated.

What a time capsule. Commercials included. Jill Ruckleshaus (sp.) was rather lovely and well spoken. Gloria, of course was strong too.

Gloria was a self serving bully, liar, and a pig. She FORCED women into the workplace and kids onto the streets. THAT is a fact.

Steinham has won the right for women to be overworked, overstressed, overtaxed, to have to pay for all the requirements of looking after children, and all the other etcetera's. Suicide, illness, cancer, dying young which were all the privileges of men. No longer. I see Steinham is not married with children, and additionally she sucks off a great income for doing virtually nothing other than speak.

I am a 60 year old woman. I am a feminist. I will never support Gloria Steinem nor any of theses organizations that signed the Open Letter in support of Amber Heard again. I am horrified that these people and groups did no research before signing.

Well, Gloria Steinem has succeeded in what she wanted to do - - force every woman into the workplace in order to attempt to afford what it takes a married couple to afford these days, namely a house, two cars, and put food on the table. When the average family had one working person in it then prices of commodities were what one person supporting a family could afford. Now, naturally, the cost of living has risen to what two working people can afford. Well done Gloria, now women have to get out and work, (not can get out and work), and yet the house still has to be taken care of, the plumber and all the fixit people have to be supervised, the preparation of meals is now a time consuming job for two people, when the kids should be coming home to a mother they are out roaming the streets and arcades, two cars have to be serviced, etc. etc. The government love it...and, of course that is, (in spite of all their words), who was behind all this in their greed for greater taxation.

Abortion describes the termination of a pregnancy. A septic pregnancy kills quickly and must be terminated immediately to save the mother, even if the baby's heart is still beating. Otherwise you'll have two deaths instead of just one. It is not at all uncommon for a pregnancy to develop unpredictable complications such as that which endangers the health & life of the mother. Women know this and most are willing to take the risk - most, but not all. Forcing a women to risk a pregnancy and put her life in danger, regardless of the unique circumstances that define her life, is fundamentally unethical and an abuse of the coercive power of the state. State power was created to foster and protect the lives of people who are ALREADY born - like mothers and their born children.

How can abortion be equal rights for women? Do men have the right to terminate a women's pregnancy? How is abortion a considered freedom, how is taking away the right of a child to live considered freedom? This is more of case of not wanting to accept accountability for one's actions. Where is the freedom for men when a woman gets pregnant?
