Just bought one of these. After testing it over the past couple days with Home Assistant, overall I really like it! A few questions/things I'd like to see improved: 1) Is there a way to adjust the gate energy for a still vs. moving target like on the MSR-1? I looked into the config in Home Assistant and didn't see it on there. 2) Temperature correction. It looks like using the static temperature correction factor numerical input in HA doesn't yield great results as far as the sensor's temperature readout accuracy. The offset is just a fixed value, and it seems I am always chasing an accurate temperature reading by adjusting the offset. I have another temp sensor in the room that is measuring accurately, so I am using the known temp value of my dedicated sensor to change the temp offset function on the MTR-1. I am thinking about setting up an automation to modify your offset entity based on some thermal testing I'll have to do on your sensor to get a good temp profile and programmatically change the offset to get a better external temp reading, but it would be nice if this was built into the sensor's firmware itself so the temp readout is more accurate. 3) 3rd target detection doesn't seem to work for me at all. When I enable Multi-Target Tracking, it does a good job of sensing Target 1 and Target 2, but never picks up Target 3. Maybe there is some setting that I'm missing that enables this? 4) Lux meter offset when using RGB LED. More of a "nice to have and probably not possible" thing for me, but it would be cool if the sensor could ignore the lux output of its own RGB light and just measure the surrounding light. It registers around 5-6k lux when its on-board LED turns on. I have some ideas of using the lux sensor and target positions to trigger position-based night lights, and being able to ignore the sensor's own light ouput could prove useful for that endeavor. Just discovered this team and what you're doing, so keep up the great work!

Hey, thanks for the comment! 1. Unfortunately there is not. It is not a part of the radar sensor inside so it is not something we can add 2. If you are handy with ESPHome yaml there are more accurate ways to make the offset. You can use multiple temperature points to build the offset vs just the one we have. 3. Yes it is much better at 2 targets. The 3rd target has to be pretty spread out and a very clear view to detect the third 4. That is a good idea, or automatically apply the offset if you know the LED is on. Thanks for the nice comment, we are having a blast and enjoying the response from the community. We've got another live stream tonight at 8pm EST! Thanks, Trevor

@@ApolloAutomation Thanks for the response! Those are good points. For 2) I wasn't even thinking about the flexibility of ESPHome with this thing! So if I modify the ESPHome yaml and build my own firmware using the HA add-on and load it on the device, it won't break any other functionality? (Assuming I keep the yaml separate from the base yaml) For 4) The lux values change slightly based on the color selection of the RGB from my experience, so like the thermal offset, maybe I can do the same for the lux offset in ESPHome yaml? This sensor is amazing! I really like the plotly graph that the community (maybe you?) made. It's super helpful and a great way to visualize the targets in HA. Looking forward to the next thing yall make!
