MTV Vietnam tends to be different from other MTV channels around the world (besides MTV Japan, SBS MTV and MTV India), in terms of programming, branding and song choices, due to the fact that the channel is managed by International Media JS Company (IMC Group) and not ViacomCBS themselves.
Every MTV channel in the world (including MTV India) that are currently broadcasting, are shown in the 16:9 aspect ratio, while MTV Vietnam is still broadcasting in 4:3.
The channel's onscreen graphics are based on the 2013 refresh that was used on the main MTV channels around the world until 2015 (or up until the first day of 2018 in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia (MTV Adria) and sometime in 2018 in South Korea (SBS MTV)) and on its music channels around Europe and the UK until 4 April 2017.
The idents, on the other hand, are based on the MTV Artist Idents, which it was first used during the 2015 branding (known as "MTVBUMP"). The Artist Idents are still airing in tandem with the 2017 branding idents (known as "Mood Swing") in some parts of the world.
MTV Vietnam's programming tends to be more focused on music and entertainment, though it also air reality programming (e.g. Celeb Ex In The City and Just Tattoo of Us) and television dramas/soap operas from the Philippines and Thailand.
Now, for the technical issues, there are maybe some of them. One of the technical issues that usually happen on the channel is that the video's framerate is sometimes slowed down to around the half of the channel's framerate (12.5fps instead of 25fps).
