MU Online Nostalgia Trip 2023 

In the early days, the reason for playing this game was the spirit of friendship, camaraderie, and cooperation. There was no autoplay, no Tarkan map, a winged player and MG character made you feel like you've seen an alien. Having good conversations for hours while hunting monsters in Spots. Breaking the spacebar when Bless, Soul, and Chaos dropped. Equal distribution of all loot to everyone at the end of the party. :) Only the oldest can understand these things.

I played the crap out of this game with my friends in high school. Every Friday we'd meet at someones house and play all through the night without sleeping. Good times.

Damn is it already that time of the year? Keeps coming quicker and quicker!

Watching every detail of this video makes me teary-eyed. It was really hell of a run with this game and the deep connection I felt during those days.

I played when Maya was the only server and Lost Tower 7 had the toughest mobs. I used to play this game all the time after school.

Korea just made so many bangers of online games in the 2000s. Even ones like Gun Bound and Gunz the Duel were so damn fun.

Omg. The guy that had the "FIRE BURST FIRE FIRE" title in their personal store is still in server 6, Midgard server as of 2/4/23 LOL. I just came across him but he changed the title to "FIRE BURST FIRE FIRE CHEAP" now. I saw him today and it reminded me of this video.

As far as I can remember I played with no music or sounds in the begining. :D Week ago I started again grinding and enjoying meeting ppl I know form different servers where we met. Still here since 2009.

My first MMO was UO. I think it was probably one of the very first. Even now hearing any of the music makes me wistful. I played it with my now late father. We would take turns doing things, he liked doing the repetitive grindy things and I liked doing things like running the Covetous harpy room. God that was a weird game. A unique moment in online gaming which felt so long but was only a couple years in total. It’s still technically “running” but it was gutted by EA long long long ago.

I have a very similar experience with this game as you do, and I woke up this morning with an extreme urge to play it, but instead I'm watching your videos, hoping for you to release the 2024 version soon.

I started playing MU Online again a few months ago (last played in 2002-2004, 2009-2010, 2012-2015). I love flipping items in market and slowly gathering my wealth. The grind is very real though, if you F2P prepare to spend years to level ahaha.

Ah good old MU online. This is where my MMO addiction started as well. I used to play a lot of Tony Hawks Pro Skater online and a friend I met there introduced me to MU... then we moved to Knight Online... and then I found out about WoW. Such bittersweet memories knowing how much time I wasted on some of those games.

It would be awesome if you can still play using the old UI. That would be pure nostalgia

I remember getting my first chaos orb, and sold it for 800k, i feel like a millionare, i was 10 at the time i believe. Later on my account's password got stolen by another guy, i can still play it, but they loot two pairs of wings i spend money and time on until my cousin caught the rat, beat him up and told him to stop doing that. good time. This, gunbound, and lineage 2 are my childhood games.

A fairly new game called Back for Blood came out in October 8, 2021 and earlier this year it's basically in "maintenance" mode and getting no new content, so its effectively dead. MU online came out in 2001 and is Still active.. kinda blows my mind. I've never played it before, probably never will. But that's impressive to have a online game active that long, like 14 years

Im still playing this, on a server that doesnt have full FO sets, you make them yourself....its a painful grind but worth once you know what needs to be done, also costs a lot of resources. Also this aerver has very low xp rate and no BS kundun boxes in store. The reset system requires you to acquire a specific item from game that is required to reset your character and its random for everyone. The more resets you gain the harder items are required to get. Im on 25th now and i need +15 dragon helm, only problem is the the machine in noria doesnt have 100% rate on success like other servers have. I've played many servers but ours is by far the best one.

Nowadays people mostly open auto hunting and leave the game running for hours. A few of them grind actively, but rarely.

Every mu client has now auto hunting/auto-bot system. Official servers are very p2w and people hate Webzen so mostly all old players small community that still exists like wow classic are playing private servers with old versions.

i played this from the start :P I still remember even the names of the friends I made while I played Global even though it's prolly been 20 years by now and our guild BackedupGuild, basically cause we knew literally everyone and nobody messed with us :P even if we were kinda weak to be honest :D At least we weren't duping +11 exc brass sets :P ( that was the best set in the game for a good while and even useful after cause it was good on EMG too :P)

I don't think I can handle this... I played on Mu Global servers since 2004 when there were Maya and Wiggle servers. I probably this it for 4+ years very intensively. I'm just 1 minute into this and sorry but I gotta exit, too much nostalgia overload.
