Edith Some extra tidbits regarding things in the video 1. Energy requirements, they can be quite big on supports, like Mona, Xinyan (230+ at minimum). A good way to reduce them for a character like Mona is to give her Proto Amber, no reason not to. Secondarily the new Natlan set gives support to the team and also an energy refund to the holder, another good option for these cases 2. Vape consistency. On some teams, there can potentially be some depending on the situation. Specifically on the mona teams, since she applies some Hydro, there can be. That's where bringing someone that can side with the pyro applier to increase the app comes in handy: Sucrose Pyro Burst, Kazuha Pyro Burst, Dendro app via burning. This one will require some trial and error in practice 3. Little typo in one of the charts, I said that with cdmg weapon, HP circlet is better than CDMG circlet, but the graph showed the opposite in the video. It's supposed to be the other way around than what the graph says
It’s the same situation as early Fontaine where the early region units are clearly being set up for this missing puzzle piece and then lo-and-behold the archon appears to make all these units better.
@@DungNguyen-xk8ss And in their kit they have passive's to combine with natlan characters. So yeah, extremely more clear situation than fontaine with Furina xd.
Is that the case? Lyney barely uses Furina and prefers mono pyro, Neuvilette is busted with or without her, and Wriothesley doesn't tend to use her either. If anything, it was the units after her (Gaming, Xianyun, Siggy) that felt tied to her.
@@SpaceyWay well just in the fact that the kits synergize with her passive is apparent, the most optimal team for wrio or lyney might not be her but their self damage dealing pairs well and neuvilette is definately made to suit her perfectly aswell. I suspect the pyro archon will be able to bring use to older characters like furina but will definately be able to synergize with the kits of natlan 5*s.
It's a sick character, doesn't take itself too seriously, has fun exploration and interactive combat. She doesn't seem to have any downsides tbh, doesn't have any flaws in her kit that get fixed with cons and it has an insane f2p craftable weapon that's almost as good as her signature... Overall looks like one of best C0R0 characters in the game, even has built in interruption resistance on her E, just surfing around unfazed, slapping the shit out of everyone with a toy shark... need i say more
Beware ER requirements are going to be wild against bosses with low energy drops to the point of making Xiangling feel like a 50 cost burst character, Mona isn't using her skill. Also if I have to be completely honest I'm very sceptical on vape consistency, you might need to wait a little bit before the first bite attack for Xinyan's pyro app to catch up. I'm saying this as someone who would also like to use Mona more
Now that we're getting a 5* selector and Dehya seems to be usable by both 5*s being released in 5.0 (at least until new Pyro characters), I really want to see a new video on Dehya and how to build her.

I’m really hoping Mona will work even better with Mualani after Mavuika’s release. Standard characters need more teams where they can be actually good.
the problem with mona and the reason she is used mostly in nuke show cases is simply because of the duration of her buff. it's really powerful but lasts only 6 seconds which is why it doesn't get utilized in abyss or other dps checks. If you can do all of your damage in the 6 second window she would be very good.
@@LoveYourself-318 You can't do all of your damage, but you can do more than half of it, maybe two thirds. Considering how big the buff is that is still equal to a sizeable buff throughout.
@@LoveYourself-318 there are lots of characters with dps windows that are about that short and can benefit greatly from it even if not all hits are buffed. raiden, wanderer, clorinde, navia... that's of course not counting freeze teams that can extend the duration. mona's still pretty useful.
You're probably never gonna read this, but you're the only genshin impact youtuber whom I watch consistently, so out of respect for your work and effort I will put my thoughts here: I got Mualani, and she feels awful to play in the Abyss. The damage itself is good, but she's extremely inconsistent, retry-prone and her skill feels unnecessarily short to be even remotely comfortable. I'm puzzled because pretty much every youtube video about her states how great she is, but nobody actually says how irritating and unrewarding to play she feels. I tried different teams, probably not as many as Jello, but still a good amount. Solo Xiangling didn't really work for me because of the ungodly amount of recharge she needs (I ran 2 favonius holders and xiphos and it was still bad). Overall, this feels exactly like Cyno situation (good in calcs but terrible irl due to restrictions in his kit), and I find it sad that everybody praised Mualani who's essentially a scam for an average player.
I feel like mualani and Kinich will feel a bit iffy right now but the pyro archon will definitely fix their issues. Surely she’s gonna apply buffs to your team and interruption resistance -for lyney- for mualani and kinich to make them feel better

What? If it looks fun and is strong af regardless, it's a no-brainer. She will definitely be one of stronger DPS characters, and when she gets a proper support... she is gonna be insane.
If you are a good player you don't need meta chars just to finish end game contents, the game is so easy already just build your characters properly specially supports.
Its astonishing how Mualani can have so very low options in team building all because she don't work with Bennett. Like if she can't work with him, then Xiangling is half the character she is. Wishing for Mavuika can solve all her needs.
Xiangling without Bennet is such a garbage character. You almost always pair them up so you really don't feel it usually. She just has no competion because Xinyan and Dehya aren't much better than a 250 er Xiangling.
@@jijidu69Xinyan and Dehya ARE much better than a 260ER Xiangling who provides zero utility for the team and is only there to apply pyro and only does 8% of the total Team dmg. That’s without mentioning how adding solo XL raises your entire team’s er requirements. Xiangling is a hindrance in Mualani teams, Dehya and Xinyan aren’t.
@@jijidu69 XL is actually fine without Bennett. Rather than being trash without him, it's more that she becomes really strong _with_ him. For example, as solo pyro in soup teams she's ok.
@@Blizandrio Xinyan requires C2 in ST and in AoE her shield application range is comparable to Barbara's E cast; Dehya for those short rotations relies on R5 Sac procing (20% chance of failing in ST). Xiangling provides as much particles as Xinyan, with fav definitely much more than Dehya who uses Sac. Xinyan's shield isn't the strongest out there and if it breaks bye bye pyro. All of this just to say that Xianglig i's far from a hindrance, but yea her ER requirements even with fav weapons can go up to 270% which is crazy and makes it hard to build CRIT for fav too... but Gouba alone might be enough every other rotation, halving ER requirements to a laughable 135% at most (it might be hard to pull off though).

if you don't use crit rate weapon, you still want some. 5 + 19.2 + 40 = 64.2% crit rate, this is not a good value for an main dps who ascends crit. Using the f2p option (natlan craftable) or Widsith, you want to achive 90/180 crit ratio on her build. And using Surf's Up, you want 92/210+ (usually characters using their signature weapon, you can't maintain the 1:2 crit ratio due to the crit rate cap. I like to stop at 92% because there's an abyss buff that gives +8 crit rate, this come at quite good frequency). In fact Mualani will be good to buil, she will need both crit rate and crit damage on artifacts at equal crit value (64.2% base crit rate and using a crown or crit damage weapon, she will have 105% to 138% base crit damage, which is pretty close to the 1:2 ratio, so it's easier to balance the substats).
The best team with my account that I've used emilie on so far is emilie, sunfire (jean+bennett), and furina. I'm not going for mualani but she could take that furina spot and you are getting a TON of damage from the other characters there. And assuming we are talking about floor 12, circle impact isn't an issue. Sure on other floors sunfire would annoy the crap out of me but if we are talking about the toughest content? Works fine and melts bosses. You don't have to worry about pyro being disrupted there. Personally I'm more interest in kinich there. Also, as an emilie aside, I still find it crazy that the go-to content creator response isn't just: go with deepwood. Obviously go with whatever set you actually have a copy of but people wasted so much time talking about who deepwood could go on with emilie on a team and it was a weird discussion. Just put it on her and forget it. Works on any team and the damage is about the same.
LOVE that you mentioned how Dehya’s and Xinyan’s defensive utility edge out Xiangling who’s ER requirements become C0 Faruzan lvls. This is truly a case where Xiangling, although strong overall, has issues that put her behind the usually underlooked pyro characters and has issues that make her pretty unconventional for upcoming new characters’ teams. That and the fact that she can’t have Bennet to carry her shows that the Genshin dev team doing the much needed balancing work.
until people discover Gouba is enough to vape 3 Mualani bites and you can also infuse anemo bursts for higher consistency if you are not fast enough or want bigger AoE in rotations with burst downtime 💀

Neuvillette vape speedrunners already rely on Gouba’s pyro application for vaping Neuvillette and Gouba alone is enough to vape 3 out of 4 capable hits from the charged attack. Believe it or not, you’ll likely see people doing that with Mualani too in 5.0

I know you're trying to sell Mualani but she doesn't convince me. This abyss and likely the next one are set to showcase her abilities but to be frank spread out specters and hilichurl archers are not going to be good for her play style. Imagine playing tag with Pyro abyss lectors while they murder you with meteors
Just glad to know her banner 4-stars are Xinyan, Bennett and Kachina. Already C6-ed Xinyan and Bennett, and Kachina is given for free. Mualani is an absolute skip. Too many busted Hydro units already.

How did you think when you decided to use 4 attacks with her C2? The constellation heavily buffs the first 3 attacks... More reasonable calcs are as follows: C1 can do 809% dmg in 18.1s, 3+3 stacks*3 + Q (45% dps), and C2 can do 1020% dmg in 16.7s, 3+3+3 stacks*3 + Q (61% dps). Thats a 36% increase, not like the 6% according to the calcs in this video.
And in a real scenario it will be even more (but not by much), since the last 1.4s in the C1 duration that the C2 doesn't have will not get any buffs or vaporizes because their duration will have ended by then.
S tier: the one you like the most A: Tighnari (pretty good and has good constellations), Jean (great synergy with Furina) B: Keqing (fun and nice quicken DPS, cons are poor tho), Diluc (solid DPS, esp if u have Xianyun) C: Mona (limited teams and mostly inconsequential cons besides C1), Dehya (pretty bad character, but with some niche use cases, potential for more roles in Natlan, and has some nice cons) D: Qiqi (basically useless everywhere)
@@Hakumai_o7 you’re right if it was only about c0 characters, but maybe there are some broken constellations like - I don’t know if that’s accurate - Jean c4 is better metawhise than tighari c3 and so other examples
She's good for those who like to actually dodge and watch enemies attack, as opposed to face-tanking with shields. Being able to move quickly and not miss her vaporizes is huge. If you have to pause to dodge with Ayato or Yoimiya, you lose significant DPS because they're meant to be giving many cuts.
I would buff ayato by making his nas count as counterattacks like beidous with according dmg numbers. The animations kinda look like parries, so a carry that spams parries would be so unique
That would need to be kinda lore related. How he and his sister train to be the most damaging swords master, killing in one hit. Not parry every attack like some other swords man.
I came back here after getting her with her sign😂😂😂. Never planning to get her since I just clown myself for e1 Kachina and getting her instead. Also her weapon because I get lucky when pulling for her sign. However she is really fun to play. Thanks for the guide pal. I still grinding in new artifact domain.
if you fight a single opponent with not that big a hitbox, Mualanis skill practically is just surfing to hit the same opponent another time, great incorporation of the characters' theme into her kit imo
If you ask me, the best F2P DPS character at C0 is still Alhaitham, I have Clorinde and Wanderer, but they are lagging behind quite a lot: Clorinde needs Thoma and Chevreuse at C6 (which I can wait for a long time, yeah, I will) and Wanderer really wants his signature and at least C1. I will only consider pulling for Mualani if her damage is close to that of Neuvillette AND if she is easy to play (I have been trying Neuvillette in Test runs and in events where he is given for free, and I just can't wield him, he is so uncomfortable for me).

You can actually run Xinyan in a Neuvi team if not to just proc his draconic stacks, give some shield and tanks to the new Natlan set she can give him 12% dmg bonus. Still way worse than the competition but that's still Neuvillette, he can do abyss alone.
neuvi overrated. mine can only sorta match my noelle if he has xiangling on his team. he loses hyper vs hyper against her 😤 i even gave him his signature weapon and very good artifacts but nope (to be fair my noelle has been #1 worldwide since sumeru dropped and has r5 redhorn... i think, she might have been overtaken by now on akasha). he's super good for his AOE, not so much his DPS (which is good to be fair, just not top tier in my account) [edit] oh! someone finally overtook my noelle. i'm now number 2. i wonder if i should try to fix that
Why not use Emilie instead of Nahida? Since Mualani has low hydro application, the burn status will be there most of the time so Emilie should have good team damage?
I have seen many people saying that she powercreeps Childe...people are misunderstanding the thing here.. Childe isn't a hydro dmg dealer. He is a hydro enabler who helps Xiangling vaping her pyronado. In the International team , Xiangling does the highest damage in that team because she is the one who is vaping the hits , not Childe. In Mualani's teams , Mualani is the one who vaping the hits with her high scaling. Plus the both the teams have their own strength.. International is better because of Childe's riptide and Xiangling's damage but in ST Mualani teams are better
Childe is powerful when there are multiple enemies on-field all within his reach. His Riptide's quadratic scaling, under the right conditions, can be even more powerful than Neuvilette. Childe and Venti are the reason why they aren't adding more groupable enemies in the abyss. These two characters shred through small mobs like it's Tuesday lunch. Mualani is nothing like Childe. She's like a powerful Diluc that works very well in single target scenario. I would wager my frontal brain that Childe is still better than Mualani.
@@RKNancy talking about abyss childe willl be better on non boss floors than maulani because normal abyss floors needs you to clear large groups of enemies really fast the only situation where a single target character is better than a aoe character is on single target boss floors yes i said single target bosses because there are times where a aoe boss like triple magi kenki or the brashmit vishaps are in the first or second chambers where you would want a character that does significant aoe dmg like childe
This misconception that Childe is only there to let Xiangling vape her pyronado needs to stop. Childe makes up a larger percentage of the teams damage than Xiangling does. Calcs have proven this so many times…
this is not even true, it heavily depends on the level of investment you have for both childe and xiangling. for a lot of players they'll both be doing around 50/50 of the dmg, but the more you invest into each's artifacts, weapons, etc. the more one can edge out the other. especially for xiangling a lot of players will opt to give her more er for comfort which will decrease her personal dmg. also it depends on if the player can do childe's combo correctly, if they can consistently do n2c cancel on childe then yes childe applies enough hydro for xiangling to vape all her hits, but if they don't xiangling doesn't vape and her dmg drops off.
Using Nahida can be really dangerous since she wants to hug the enemies most of the time. Even Zhongli, Thoma & Dehya will have trouble keeping you alive.

Looks like Im gonna be using the credit card to make her my first c2 r1 5-star. Never pulled for cons or weapon banner. She just looks so fun to play and probably great for overworld quick travelling) Just below arle and neuvi... for now,until the pyro archon comes
Probably because She cares more about em than elemental DMG, plus she's boss killer, so the grouping isn't valuable in these situations. You can still use him with Mualani, but Sucrose Is Just as good if not Better.
@@l0tusncyep as the person before said, sucrose gives em to the team which is better for mualani then the elemental damage bonus kazuha gives. But it wont be that big of a difference.
Would a high ER dendro traveler be a decent replacement for Nahida? If all I want from the dendro character is consisten dendro application for burning procs I guess that could work. Never bothered to pick up Nahida

The teams TGS calculated make no sence. The only team I see for Mualani right now is: double dendro with Dehya, Nahida/Colei/Emilie and Baizhu/Siegwine(not sure about her). Mualani normally would like to have hydro resonance, but it would mess her vapes, so not a great option. Later Dehya will get replaced with Mavuika. Baizhu gives interruption resistance, but he needs battery, thats why double dendro will be needed. Forget vv shred, it will be copium.
@@kinkane1976 Swaping to Baizhu for battery is dps loss. There are two solutions either use 2 dendro or get c1. Not all teams are quick swap plus a team with Dehya will have more energy problems.
@@tomekpiatek88 swapping to Baizhu is less of a dps loss than forcing 2 dendros just to use him. Neuvillette team isn’t a quick swap team and a lot of ppl use Baizhu for Furina. You’re making a non-issue seem bigger than it actually is.

My Candace is C6 but I really want to pair them... Can I play around with Candace's burst hit timing so that it won't be at the same time as Mualani's attack so it won't steal the vape?
