@anti zion We dont know who poisoned Hasan ra and Hasan ra didnt say "Muawiya ra poisoned me", he didnt say anyones name at all. And Muawiya ra will be with the prophet on Qiyama so he'll be just fine

@Hammertennisguy Muawiya is a confrimed Jannati bcz the Prophet said "Paradise is granted to the first batch of my followers who will undertake a naval expedition." and Muawiya not only partook in this expedition but he led it as it comes in the narration of Umm Haram. The Prophet also prayed for him to be saved from punishment. So, thats a proof Muawiya is in Jannah. Secondly, the Prophet said "A person will be with whom he loves" There are several things that show Muawiya loved the prophet, such as he always respected the belongings of the Prophet such as his blanket and he asked to be buried with some of the hair of the Prophet. Muawiya only respected and honored these belongings of the Prophet out of his love for the Prophet. If he hated the Prophet, he wouldnt show respect for the Prophets belongings. A narration that shows he loves the prophet is this one: AIsha narrated (ra): Hind bint 'Utba came and said, "O Allah's Messenger! (Before I embraced Islam) there was no family on the surface of the earth I wished to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth I wish to see honored more than I did yours." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I THOUGHT SIMILARLY, by Him in whose Hand my soul is!" When the Prophet said and I thought similarly, he clearly meant that wished honor for Hind and her family, which includes her son Muawiya. So not only did Muawiya love the Prophet, the Prophet love him and his family once they accepted Islam. Since the loved each other, they will be with each other in the Hereafter.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (Ra) reported: The Prophet PBUH said: “Do not insult my companions. If one of you were to spend the likes of mount Uhud in gold, it would not reach a small portion of theirs or even half of that.” - Sahih al-Bukhari 3470, Sahih Muslim 2540

Muawiya was a tyrant. When will you people understand? There is only one truth and that was the path of Ali after the Prophet PBUH passed. Never ever praise Muawiya, a man who was only power hungry, nothing else.

@@user-bi3gf2yf4k We all know that Ali is better than Muawiyah, but the matter was a FITNAH and even the Messenger PBUH had predicted that Al Hassan bin Ali would be a cause of reform between two great groups of Muslims: The Messenger PBUH said: "This son of mine (Hassan) is a Sayyid (chief), & I hope Allah may reconcile two large parties of Muslims by means of him." If Muawiyah was a tyrant, then the reason for that was Hassan bin Ali? who gave him the caliphate and even pledged allegiance to him! Can we say that Hassan was one a supporter of this (tyrant)? You should not carry hatred against any Sahabi because Allah azza wajal has has been pleased with them in the Almighty saying: Al Muhajireen + Al Ansaar + At-tabi'een: (وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ) "And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment." Allah azza wajal has shown us how to deal with the Companions in his saying: (وَالَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالإِيمَانِ وَلا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ) "And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful."

@H Salam Alaykum I advise dont ever disrespect mauwiya he was a sahabi and he should be honored not slandered what is wrong with you insulting the one who wrote the wahi from nabiuallah (SAW) the one who umar and uthman choose to be the governor of sham for 20 years when they replaced a lot of governors so no doubt his a man of great virtue dont and a man of honor and dignity he made ijtihadand he thought his son was worthy to be the leader and he made a dua that goes along the lines of this O Allah if choose my son to be the next khalifa because of the good thing I see in him then let his rein be prosperous but if am doing it because of the love of a father has for his may death come upon him this show you his piety and eagerness to do what is right

The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by `Ammar and removed the dust off his head and said, "May Allah be merciful to `Ammar. He will be killed by a rebellious aggressive group. `Ammar will invite them to (obey) Allah and they will invite him to the (Hell) fire." Sahih al-Bukhari 2812.

Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr, Abdullah bin Umar, Abdullah bin Zubair and Husain bin Ali expressed great resentment for the selection of Yazid as Khalifah. They said "This selection has been made not for the welfare of the Muslims but for their annihilation because by this way the Islamic Caliphate will resemble the Roman and Persian Empires in which the son succeeds his father to the throne and this selection is against the spirit of Islam."

You should also mention that those people were the only ones to object to Yazid when Muawiyah ra visited Makkah and Madina. Everyone else in Arabia and the shaam region approved of Yazid and that is why Muawiyah ra did not feel like he has done something wrong.

Mati khorasani Not only this but he appointed Yazid as a quick on the spot decision because he was afraid the political instability of the empire would get worse if a leader amongst Banu Umayyah wasn’t chosen (because Banu Umayyah was the dominant force in the Islamic empire at the time). Therefore he chose Yazid in hopes of stabilising the already unstable political climate.

@Abdul Aziz I will never insult Muawiya Ra but it is important for us to say the truth to each other. If it wasn't for power why at Ali Ra death, he tried to take the power to Al Hassan and why does he oblige Muslim to give baya to Yazid (the cursed one).Let's say the truth, that doesn't make us Shia. I respect him, and I know he is a sahaba, he is one billion time better than me.

Maybe Allah wanted to show that there is no successors baby. You work hard for what you want, I agree that there was fitna but Muawiyah (RA) was granted permission from Hazrat Ali(RA) himself as well. And no you can’t compare Hazrat Ali(RA) and Muawiyah (RA) but they are both Muslims and companions of the Prophet(PBUH) and for a decent believer that should be enough, if you truly believe in Allah, let Allah be the judge because if you’re cursing at the sahabas, then you no different than the ones who actually lit up the fire of fitna. And Muawiyah (RA) choose a successor Yazid. Yazid gets bashed from Muslims around the world till today. For me it goes to prove that Allah wanted to prove that the successors are all the Muslims . Only the chosen would be the right ones and yes Muawiyah (RA) was the people’s choice including Hazrat Ali(RA).

You don,t have to be a shia to hate the son of the liver eater Hind . Muawiyah was a bastard born to 4 fathers and a munafek. His bastard son yazid killed the family of the Prophet (pbuh) and set fire to the kaba. what else is there to prove. Last but least there is no Sunni or Shia, A Muslim is a Muslim. There can not be any segregation in Islam.

Wasimuddin Syed I’m a proud Sunni Muslim and I’m all for unity. I despise the Shia that curse Abu Bakr, Umar and Aisha RA etc and I consider it Shirk when they make Du’a to Ali RA and his descendants RA. Those Shia that do not do these things which I feel are most of them, I consider them my brothers. Just a side point, those extreme Sufis (tiny minority) that make Du’a to the Prophet Muhammad SAW and other Saints and give him divine God-like attributes are committing Shirk also. Now onto the real issue, Mu’awiya RA is a Sahabi so we just say RA and understand that he is forgiven. He was a King and was a great conquerer for Islam. However, I genuinely DESPISE Yazid and have no respect or admiration for what he did to Hussain RA and Zainab bint Ali. We cannot say what will happen on the Day of Judgement however, if I had to choose between Ali and Mu’awiya of course I choose Ali RA. There is no comparison. The Prophet Muhammad SAW’s companion like Harun AS was to Musa AS. The flag-bearer. The wielder of Zulfiqar. The husband of Fatima and father of Hassan and Hussain. If I had to choose between Hussain and Yazid, I of course choose the Ahlul-Bayt. Like I said, I’m a Sunni and have the upmost respect for all the Sahaba but we have to speak the truth. No doubt we love the Ahlul-Bayt more than a dynasty even though we respect the dynasty also. Allah knows best and may he unite this Ummah.

Imam 'Ali (peace be upon him) is the one about whom the Prophet (peace be upon him and his purified progeny) said that Allah and His Messenger love him. Zirr reported, 'Ali observed: By Him Who split up the seed and created something living, the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a promise that no one but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would nurse grudge against me. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ إِنَّهُ لَعَهْدُ النَّبِيِّ الأُمِّيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَىَّ أَنْ لاَ يحبني إلا مؤمن ولا يبغضني إلا منافق ‏.‏ Sahih Muslim 78 It has been further narrated, and this narration is Sahih in Jami' at-Tirmidhi) that Mu'awiyah (who initiated the tradition of cursing Imam 'Ali, peace be upon him) said: ''Ya ibn Abi Waqqas, what has prevented you from insulting Abu Turab (i.e. 'Ali)?'' whereupon ibn Abi Waqqas said: 'Three things that I remember from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prevent me from reviling him. That I should have even one those things is more beloved to me than red camels. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) speaking to 'Ali, and he had left him behind in one of his battles. So 'Ali said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! You leave me behind with women and children?" So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Are you not pleased that you should be in the position with me that Harun was with Musa? Except that there is no Prophethood after me?" And on the Day of (the battle of) Khaibar, I heard him saying: "I shall give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah and His Messenger love him." So we all waited for that, then he said: "Call 'Ali for me." He said: 'So he came to him, and he had been suffering from Ramad (an eye condition), so he (ﷺ) put spittle in his eye and gave the banner to him, then Allah granted him victory. And when this Ayah was revealed: 'Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women...' (3:61) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husain and said: "O Allah, these are my family." Mu'awiyah further waged war against a man about whom the Prophet (pbuh) said: ''For whomever I am his Mawla, then 'Ali is his Mawla!''. Source: Jami' at-Tirmidhi, graded Saheeh by Darussalaam. You don't have to be a Shi'a to use your brains and not fall for the propaganda by this channel in favour of Mu'awiyyah, the person who violated the treaty with Hasan by appointing the drunkard son Yazeed as the Caliph. “And there are those of them who made a covenant with Allah: If He gives us out of His grace we will certainly give alms and we will certainly be of the good. But when He gave them out of His grace, they become niggardly of it and they turned back and they withdrew. So He made hypocrisy to follow as a consequence into their hearts till the day when they shall meet Him because they failed to perform towards Allah what they had promised Him and because they told lies.” (Surah at-Tawba 9:75-77)

@@aalianakbar muawiya made practice of cursing rhe ahlulbayt on the minbar and so did banu umaya. am leaving behind two heavy things, the first is the Quran, in it is guidance and light, so hold firmly onto the Quran, then Nabi (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) encouraged and motivated (towards reciting and taking care of the Quran) , and the second thing is the Ahlu Bayt, I am reminding you about the Ahlu Bayt, Nabi (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) repeated this thrice

If people critically study the fitnah & the life of Mu’āwiyah they’ll see that the defences for Mu’āwiyah are very poor. The idea that *all* the sahaabah are in paradise is unequivocally False & in opposition to the Qur-aan & sunnah. For the channel posting this; please Fear Allāh & take this video down for your own sake. Spend a few years obsessively studying the topic & then reach a conclusion, thats better than relying on heavily biased viewpoints.

I am a sunni but I respect the beliefs of the Shias. Shia and Sunni Both believe in One God and that Prophet Muhummad (S.A.W) is the last prophet. We should concentrate on the basics rather then fighting over civil wars. Ali ( R.A) is one of my Role Model's I Admire his bravery and Character traits. We Should all be United and Work towards a greater Muslim Ummah.

Muawiyyah - the one who started cursing the sahaba! Sahih Muslim 2404 d Amir b. Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas reported on the authority of his father that Muawiya b. Abi Sufyan appointed Sa'd as the Governor and said: What prevents you from abusing Abu Turab (Hadrat 'Ali), whereupon be said: It is because of three things which I remember Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said about him that I would not abuse him and even if I find one of those three things for me, it would be more dear to me than the red camels. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say about 'Ali as he left him behind in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). 'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: "Let us summon our children and your children." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: O Allah, they are my family.

Narrated `Ikrima bin Khalid: Ibn `Umar said, I went to Hafsa while water was dribbling from her twined braids. I said, 'The condition of the people is as you see, and no authority has been given to me.' Hafsa said, (to me), 'Go to them, and as they (i.e. the people) are waiting for you, and I am afraid your absence from them will produce division amongst them.' So Hafsa did not leave Ibn `Umar till we went to them. When the people differed. Muawiya addressed the people saying, 'If anybody wants to say anything in this matter of the Caliphate, he should show up and not conceal himself, for we are more rightful to be a Caliph than he and his father. On that, Habib bin Masalama said (to Ibn `Umar), Why don't you reply to him (i.e. Muawiya)? `Abdullah bin `Umar said, I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say, 'He who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam, is more rightful to be a Caliph,' but I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed, and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. (So I kept quiet) remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise (for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life). Habib said, You did what kept you safe and secure (i.e. you were wise in doing so).SAHIH BUKHARI HADITH NO. 4108

(murujuz zahab-mas’oodi, tareekh-Ya’qoob) (7) Laying the foundation stone of cursing, imam ali (a.s) the cousin and son in law of the holy prophet (s.a.w.s) and his progeny on the streets, Mosques, pulpits and in daily prayers (Tareeekh kamil- Ibne asser, iqdul fareed - Ibne shahnah,sharhe maqasid - taftazani, khilafat wa mulukiyyat - abul A’ala mawdudi page 100) (8) Shamelessly disregarding the term of the peace treaty entered into ( and accepted by him) with imam hasan (a.s) ( Tareekhe kamil - ibn aseer, tareekh - abul fida, rawzatul manazir - ibne Shahnah, (9) Causing whole scale terror and bloodshed of muslims while dispatching his bloodthirsty commanders ( tareekh kamil-ibne aseer, tareekh - tabari, abul fida, tareekh - ibne khalliqan, tareekh - ibne asakir, tareekh - abul faraj isfahani, tareekh- ibne Asakir, tareekh - tabari sharhe nahjul balagha-ibne abil hadeed mu’tazili) (10) Nurturing false traditionists like abu hurayra and provoking them to forge traditions against ahlulbayt (a.s) (11) Including ziyad (the illegitimate son of a prostitute sumayyah) among the bani umayyah by declaring him to be his brother ( tareekh - abul fida, khilafat wa mulukiyyat - abul A’ala Mawdudi page 162/3), (12) Unlawfully appointing yazid, his evil and immoral son, as his successor, Caliph of the muslims and vicegerent of the holy prophet(s.a.w.s) (13) Instigating the battle of siffeen against commander of the faithful imam ali (a.s) thus shedding the blood of devout muslim and prophet’s companions like ammar bin Yasir, khuzaymah bin sabit etc therein (14) A self styled monarch, a reveler worse than the caesers and chosroes ( as witnessed by umar bin khattab in isti’ab - ibne abdul birr Vol 1: page 253 and tareekha kamil - ibn aseer Vol 3: page 216 , Al Bidaya wan Nihaya - shahrestani Vol 8: page 125) (15) disregrade for lawful or unlawful (Muhaziratul adibba’ - Raghib isfahani page 125) (16) A wine bibber as confirmed by adbullah bin buraydah in musnad - imam ahmed ibne hanbal Vol 5: page 347) (17) Himself an illegitimate child ( rabi’ul abrar - zamakhshari,Sarguzashte Mu’awiyah-Mawlawi abdul wahid abdul wahid khan page 25, masalib bani umayyah - isma’il bin ali Hanafi), apart from being an adulterer,gambler, gluttonous and evil personified )ref. sarguzashte mu’awiyah-Abdul waheed khan).

If one of you were to spend the likes of mount Uhud in gold, it would not reach a small portion of theirs or even half of that.” - Sahih al-Bukhari 3470, Sahih Muslim 2540 Do you know to whom Rasool Allah S.A.W said this and why? Khalid bin Waleed was using abusive language. It was for him when Rasool Allah S.A.W said that the companions before Fatah-Makkah the ones after them have no right to abuse them.

Zirr reported, 'Ali observed: By Him Who split up the seed and created something living, the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a promise that no one but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would nurse grudge against me. حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ إِنَّهُ لَعَهْدُ النَّبِيِّ الأُمِّيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَىَّ أَنْ لاَ يحبني إلا مؤمن ولا يبغضني إلا منافق ‏.‏ Sahih Muslim 78 It has been further narrated, and this narration is Sahih in Jami' at-Tirmidhi) that Mu'awiyah (who initiated the tradition of cursing Imam 'Ali, peace be upon him) said: ''Ya ibn Abi Waqqas, what has prevented you from insulting Abu Turab (i.e. 'Ali)?'' whereupon ibn Abi Waqqas said: 'Three things that I remember from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prevent me from reviling him. That I should have even one those things is more beloved to me than red camels. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) speaking to 'Ali, and he had left him behind in one of his battles. So 'Ali said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! You leave me behind with women and children?" So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Are you not pleased that you should be in the position with me that Harun was with Musa? Except that there is no Prophethood after me?" And on the Day of (the battle of) Khaibar, I heard him saying: "I shall give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah and His Messenger love him." So we all waited for that, then he said: "Call 'Ali for me." He said: 'So he came to him, and he had been suffering from Ramad (an eye condition), so he (ﷺ) put spittle in his eye and gave the banner to him, then Allah granted him victory. And when this Ayah was revealed: 'Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women...' (3:61) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called 'Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husain and said: "O Allah, these are my family." Mu'awiyah further waged war against a man about whom the Prophet (pbuh) said: ''For whomever I am his Mawla, then 'Ali is his Mawla!''. Source: Jami' at-Tirmidhi, graded Saheeh by Darussalaam. You don't have to be a Shi'a to use your brains and not fall for the propaganda by this channel in favour of Mu'awiyyah, the person who violated the treaty with Hasan by appointing the drunkard son Yazeed as the Caliph. “And there are those of them who made a covenant with Allah: If He gives us out of His grace we will certainly give alms and we will certainly be of the good. But when He gave them out of His grace, they become niggardly of it and they turned back and they withdrew. So He made hypocrisy to follow as a consequence into their hearts till the day when they shall meet Him because they failed to perform towards Allah what they had promised Him and because they told lies.” (Surah at-Tawba 9:75-77)

As for the hadith It doesn't prove your point but rather it is in our favour Muawiya RadiAllahu Anhu simply asked ibn Abi Waqqas RadiAllahu Anhu about why the latter didn't curse Ali RadiAllahu Anhu and after Muawiya RadiAllahu Anhu heard his reply He didn't say a word but rather he accepted the reports (out of his reverence for The Prophet عليه الصلاة والسلام) and don't you think that he would have punished ibn abi Waqqas if he was such a tyrant? Like what did he have to fear? And why did he fight the khawarij who are the original initiators of the tradition. Of cursing Ali RadiAllahu Anhu?

It is a skeleton in their closet. They are highly misguided. The fact they either preach the ones who fought and even killed the household of the prophet, goes to show they do not actually love the prophet or his family to take their side. Despite the Ahl al Bayt being the most virtuous Muslims who have walked on the face of the Earth and continued to spread the correct teachings of our holy prophet (pbuh). Anyone who either stays "neutral" or praises the enemies of the prophet's family is a munafiq.

​@@amiralp4729brother he's correct though? Muawiya used to kill people that named their children Ali and muawiya raised his son yazid with hate for ahlul bayt. How can you say he's rightly guided and guaranteed heaven when he murdered the prophets family? Muawiyas family members were Quraysh and murdered in a battle by imam ali, hence the hatred towards ali from muawiya. In my opinion muawiya never cared for the religion of Islam and only cared about revenge on Ali and ahlul bayt but everybody has their own opinions I guess. There was also a time when the prophet wanted to speak to Muawiya but muawiya rejected because he was eating the prophet then said "may allah never fill his belly" and left. Muawiya never cared about islam he only cared about power.

Umm Haram al-Ansariyah رضي الله عنها reported that she heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم say: أول جيش من أمتي يغزون البحر مغفور لهم "The first army of my Ummah (nation) that invades the sea, all there sins are forgiven." [al-Bukhari, Vol.2 p.253, Hadith #2924] Al-Muhallab said: ‘’In this hadith there is a virtue of Mu'āwiŷah, because he was the first to invade the sea." @@HaseebTariq-fj1gl What I meant by my comment, wasn't intended to hurt him but because he was praising Muawiyah, when there is a mountain load of evidence that the holy prophet and his Ahle Bayt DESPISED Muawiyah, keeping in mind that Muawiyah WENT TO WAR, against Imam Ali in the battle of Siffeen and also knowing that Imam Ali and his family were so much more dearer to Rasulullah than he himself was and suffered a huge loss. The Prophet (s.a.w) then said: "May God curse the rider, the one in front and the one in the back." Also, how can Muawiyah be a good person according to Rasulullah when he asked all the Masjid's to curse Imam Ali (THE ONE WHO PROPHET LOVED THE MOST AND SAID FOR WHOEVER I'M MAULA FOR, ALI IS HIS MAULA TO), and then rip the peace treaty of Imam Hassan (FOR WHICH THE PROPHET SAID THAT HASSAN AND HUSSAIN ARE THE LEADERS OF THE YOUTH OF JANNAH. WHOEVER LOVES THEM, OH ALLAH LOVE HIM, AND WHOEVER HATES THEM OH ALLAH USE YOUR WRATH AGAINST HIM)!?! How can people be so ignorant and ignore the most important details?

Wallahi I don't understand these comments, why say this person did this and this person did this? And fight over what they did or didn't do, how does that increase our imaan. It's best to say Allah knows best and leave the matter in Allahs hands. As muslims we must assume the best of everyone and give people the benefit of doubt. When you're doing your daily five prayers you cannot include any sahaba in the prayers but you must include the prophets s.a.w family by direct order from Allah . Don't compare the sahaba to ahlulbayt as you don't compare our prophet s.a.w with Allah Subhan WA tala the master of everything! i follow the Sunnah, but I can’t give Muawiyah a pass and praise him like other Sunnis blindly. How he went against the deen and the Sunnah by going against the rightful Caliph in Ali, which is unjustifiable, and more so being the first one to pass the Caliphate over to HIS SON and this created a dynasty built on his lineage, which the Prophet didn’t condone and wasn’t the case for any of the Rightful 4 Caliphs. Since reverting, I never understood the blind praise without any criticism, people talk about him like he never did anything wrong. I am not saying he wasn’t a Mumin or anything like that, don’t get it twisted. Call a spade a spade.

Unfortunately we have two extremes here those who justified muawiyyah radiallahuanhu mistakes and those who started insulting criticise him for his mistakes we muslim don't follow either of these two deviant through as muslim we acknowledge muawiyyah radiallahuanhu did make mistakes there is no denying that he made clear cut mistakes but unlike the others we don't insult him for his mistakes either or criticism him rather we take lessons from his mistakes to make sure we don't repeat them again same as the case of many sahaba who drank alcohol we don't criticism curse them for this rather take lessons from this they aren't far superior then us

As a Sunni, my personal opinion is we don’t curse Muawiyah but I don’t feel he should be praised or have (RA) written after his name. The person who broke the sunnah & appointed his son as Caliph, the person who fought against Ali (ra), the person who started the custom of cursing Ali (ra) from the pulpit every Friday which lasted about 60 years, etc. So, while he shouldn’t be cursed, he shouldn’t be overly praised either. His judgment is with Allah (swt).

Doesn’t Hadith state that Ali (ra) is with the truth & the truth is with Ali (ra)? So if you’re fighting Ali (ra), naturally you’re fighting against the haqq. Again, we don’t curse because a Muslim doesn’t use foul language, however, Muawiyah doesn’t need to be overly praised either. His judgment is with his Creator. Allah (swt) knows best.

Nevertheless their intentions was not wrong. They are all Sahabis and the Prophet even said his companions will be in Paradise with him.

Nobody is perfect, even the sahaba made mistakes. They were not infallible. Muawiyah RA did make mistakes such as going against the sunnah when appointing his son as the next Caliph. But shias need to be very careful when they disrespect the sahaba, do you feel any shame when you curse people who the Prophet ‎ﷺ praised?

If what is said in the video is true, then do you not find it wrong that Muawiya RA did not find it important to consult those 5 individuals on why they don't want Yazid to be the Khalifah? Those 5 individuals were among the most noble companions. Also, what was not discussed in the video is that Hassan ibn Ali RA had made an agreement with Muawiya RA that after his Khilafah is over then Hassan will be Khalifah and then Hussain ibn Ali. Just because Hassan ibn Ali RA past away, the deal was broken...Nevertheless, we will never know what is 100% correct. All we know for sure is that he was a Sahaba, and Allah has blessed them all.

​@@alamk88 Why can't you judge them? Are they prophets or gods? Don't put them in the same rank and level of the holy prophets blood or god. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) made a very special speech and gathered all of the people going past (Event of Ghadir Khumm). People were gathered and he waited till everyone was there so that nobody misses it. People had to wait for a long time and later on one of the things he said Imam ali was "Anyone who has me as his mawla, has Ali as his mawla" (the word mawla has like 20 meanings and sunnis acknowledged every meaning of the word EXCEPT the synonymous word "Leader"). After this event (Event of Ghadir Khumm) the last verse of the Quran, which is the third verse of Al-Ma'idah (the fifth chapter of the Quran), was then revealed: "This day I have perfected your Religion for you: Completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your Religion" How can anyone deny this? I converted from Christianity to Sunni Islam and later on to Shia Islam. I believe why there are so many sunnis out there is because it's like all the religions; whatever your household is then you automatically stick to it. But when you really seek the truth you always end up doing a lot of research, and that Imam ali is the Imam is always there right infront of you if you do your research. I believe many sunnis are in Denial. Before I became Shia, I asked sheikhs this simple question and they made fun of that hadith etc. They saw it more as a threat and a war thing between then rather than against them. In Sunni mosques at first I thought shia's was evil since that's what they taught us in their speeches. When I was at shia mosques they never attacked the sunni people themselves, but they talked bad about the caliphes. I got angry at first but later on realised that they were not talking bad about them but rather as traitors who have made a bad reputation to islam. The more I learned about Umar, Abu Bakr, Uthman, Aisha etc the more I realised that they don't have the manners or behavior or thinking like the prophet Mohammed at all. Very many sunni hadiths are very controversial and are against the teachings of Islam. In shia from Imam sadiq there is a famous sahih hadith that says that whatever hadith is against what the Quran says is invalid. There are many hadiths in Al-Bukhari that actually makes prophet Mohammed look bad or even "stupid" (Astaghfarallah) and people still follow that book. How do you accept a book portrait your prophet like that?? There are hadiths how Aisha treated Prophet Mohammed when he was talking to the sister of his passed away wife Khadija. In a very disgusting way. All you need to do is dig deep for the truth. For every 1000 people, 999 people will enter hellfire and only 1 human will enter the paradise. That's only 0,1% that will enter the paradise.

How can you praise a man who openly fought against the prophet's most beloved (Ali)? You people can go as far as minimizing Yazid's crimes against Hussain. Who are these preachers and "scholars" you're following who lead you on the path of the Munafiqeen? Has history not taught you anything? Shame on you Sunnis who praise men who brought nothing but harm to the Ummah and the holy prophet and his family. It is truly mind boggling how you cannot firmly stand with the prophet's family. Mu'awiya said: `Bin `Abbas, that is enough! Hold back your tongue! If it is necessary for you to do that, then that should be secret. Do not make anyone hear it openly.' Then Mu'awiya came back home. In all cities the tribulation became intense against 'Ali's Shi'a and his household. Kufa was liable to intense persecutions, for it had many Shi'a. He appointed Ziyad as a governor over it. He (Mu'awiya) gathered the Iraqis for him (Ziyad). He (Ziyad) followed the Shi'a. He was acquainted with their condition, for he was among them. So he killed them everywhere. He whipped and frightened them, cut off their hands and legs, hanged them on the trunks of the date palms, knocked out their eyes, dismissed them, and made them homeless. Mu'awiya wrote to his judges and his governors in the cities to prevent them from accepting the witness of those Shi'a who narrated his ('Ali's) outstanding merits and spread his laudable deeds. He (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote to his governors: Look for the Shi`a of `Uthman, who narrate his qualities and talk about his laudable deeds, so honor them. Write to me the full name of the person who narrates about `Uthman. Then he sent them gifts and clothes. He gave the Arabs and the non- Arab supporters many country estates. So they became many and competed with each other for the houses and the country estates. For this reason they became rich. Then he (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote to his governors: Indeed the traditions concerning `Uthman have become numerous. So when this letter of mine comes to you, then summon them (i.e., the Arabs and non-Arab supporters) to report traditions about Abu Bakr and `Umar. So every judge or emir read Mu'awiya's letter to the people. "Then he (i.e., Mu'awiya) wrote a letter in which he collected all what was reported concerning Abu Bakr and `Uthman. Then he sent the letter to his governors and ordered them to read it on the pulpits, in every city, and at every mosque. Also he ordered them to send the letter to the teachers of the schools to teach it to their boys to narrate it and learn it as they learned the Qur'an. Moreover, they taught the letter to their daughters, their wives, and their servants. Then Mu'awiya wrote one copy (i.e., a letter) (to his governors):`When you prove that someone loves 'Ali and his household, then omit him from the register.' Then he wrote another letter: `Whomever you accuse and do not prove (his innocence), then kill him.' So they killed the Shi'a of 'Ali everywhere because of accusation, doubt, and suspicion to the extent that the man (of them) was beheaded because of a certain word. Mu'awiya made the situation very dangerous. The followers of the Umayyads increased in number. They fabricated many traditions. So the people followed them and learned traditions from them only. The most dangerous of all people in that were the hypocrite readers (of the Qur'an) who affected sadness, piety, and asceticism while they told lies to find (an important position) with their rulers and to obtain, through that, money, country estates, and houses. Some people thought that their traditions were true, so they learned them, narrated them, and taught them (to the people). Also the religious persons who thought that falsehood was illegal learned (their traditions). They accepted the traditions and thought that they were true. If they had known that the traditions were false, they would have not narrated them, nor would have they adopted them. When al-Hasan b. 'Ali, peace be on him, died, the discord and the tribulation became greater and more intense." I (i.e., the author) say: Abu al-Hasan al-Mada'ini has narrated a full text similar to the above- mentioned one. Ibn Abu al-Hadid has reported the account on his authority in his book called (`Sharh Nahj al-Balagha, vol. 3, pp. 15- 16). He (i.e., Abu al-Hasan al-Mada'ini) has said at the end of the account: "The situation went on that manner till al-Hasan b. 'Ali, peace be on him, died. So the tribulation and the discord increased so that everybody of this kind (i.e., of 'Ali's Shi'a and his household) were afraid of killing or homelessness in the earth." The comparison between the conditions of the two sides (i.e., al Hasan and Mu'awiya) accepts this method of the events, and the historical coordination in the succession of the events confirms it. The things the other historians omitted do not harm this method, for they, and we forgive them, wrote for the standing policy or at least for what did not harm it. We have already mentioned that al-Tabari and al-Mas'udi have briefly referred to that. According to this, the sources of this matter are: Sulaym b. Qays, al-Mada'ini, b. Abu al-Hadid, al-Tabari, and al Mas'udi.

Now i know Yazid was Elected . Yet Muawiyah (R.A) made Yazid his successor. This was against the agreement he made with Imam Hassan. A point in the agreement stated that Muawiyah would not appoint a successor after him rather revert the decision to the Ummah . Muawiyah (R.A) was not supposed to appount a successor as per deal with Imam Hassan .

I am not a shia and come to think of it I am not a sunni or a wahabi and just a Muslim. I also believe actions are judged by intentions. Any human who has lived on earth is accountable in front of the The Most High even the sahaba. I also believe Allah is the best judge but when we make dua at the end of the prayers we say please forgive our sins intentional and unintentional. Some actions we think as not being sins but they are does not make them unanswerable. Though we humans should not fight each other for actions of others we can and should hold an opinion for it is our right and a sign of a healthy mind. I believe and I cannot express this enough that this is only my own opinion which I have a right to make that an action by this sahaba eventually caused severe consequences to the family of the Prophet and speaking as a descendant I have been deeply hurt. May Allah protect us all and may Allah reward us all in the hereafter. But I will never disrespect the sahaba to the extent to curse anyone to hell for hell is the worst place and this man was a sahaba. May Allah protect him from it as well as the family of the Prophet like the Prophet of himself is of the greatest character ever seen by the world and I have no doubt they have already forgiven him. ☺️

It is sad that the Shias have made the islam revolve fanatic towards Ali(r.a). The most irritating thing is praying directly to imams. Considering karbala holier than mecca. Changing the dates of laylatal qadr and doing ibaadat not for the reason of revelation of Quran but to commemorate death anniversary of Ali(r.a). They even connect bani Israel with ahl ul Bayt. And consider Ali(ra) to be equal position with prophet Ibrahim (a.s). And when the imams supported sahabas, they consider it taqiyyah. Let alone muawaiyah and Ali(r.a). No one is going to be awarded by allah if they praise anyone of them. Your rewards will be calculated on the basis of how much you followed the teachings of Muhammad (a.s).

Abdul Aziz mistakes or killing the grandson of the prophet . He broke the treaty of Imam Hasan and unfairly gave the caliph to Yazid!! Is that fair? Yazid”s horses trampled an already mangled body of Aba Abd Allah. We all are Muslims and have a common point. Don’t you love the family of the prophet? Do you think he should be a “Sahaba” if he prayed while drunk! It seems like some of the people in Islam have more respect for this “sahaba if you like to say” then the grandson himself!! what my main concern is that if 5 of the greatest men in ummah didnt give their bayat to yazid, my heart doesnt agree with the decision of muawiya ra.. Husayn ra, literally the most intelligent and greatest man in ummah during that time. the Grandson of Allah's Messenger (Peace and Blessings upon Him). then , there was Abdullah ibn zubair ra, ibn Abbas ra, Abdullah ibn umar and Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Bakr ra. Just look at these Names.. they were the best and most intelligent of the ummah during the time of muawiya ra.. they were absolute gems.. if they didnt agree, there must have been something wrong and negative about muawiya's ra decision regarding yazid.. did muawiya ra have a proper discussion with these 5 best people in the ummah.. that's my biggest concern.. He should have heard their sides of the story why they didnt agree.. What i sense from this video is that muawiya ra ignored their disagreement and their wisdom.. this is my main fear.. Allah knows best

@Siyanatullah khan Surah At-Tawbah 9:100-102 وَالسّٰبِقُوۡنَ الۡاَوَّلُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُهٰجِرِيۡنَ وَالۡاَنۡصَارِ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡهُمۡ بِاِحۡسَانٍ ۙ رَّضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُوۡا عَنۡهُ وَاَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ تَحۡتَهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَبَدًا​ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ الۡـفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ‏  [9:100] And of those who led the way - the first of the Emigrants (Muhajirun) and the Helpers (Ansar), and those who followed them in the best possible manner - Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Allah. He has prepared for them Gardens beneath which rivers flow; therein they will abide forever. That is the supreme triumph. وَمِمَّنۡ حَوۡلَـكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَعۡرَابِ مُنٰفِقُوۡنَ​​ ۛؕ وَمِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ​ ​ ​ۛمَرَدُوۡا عَلَى النِّفَاقِلَا تَعۡلَمُهُمۡ ​ؕ نَحۡنُ نَـعۡلَمُهُمۡ​ ؕ سَنُعَذِّبُهُمۡ مَّرَّتَيۡنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّوۡنَ اِلٰى عَذَابٍ عَظِيۡمٍ​ ۚ‏  [9:101] As for the bedouin Arabs around you, some are hypocrites; and so are some of the people of Madinah who have become inured to hypocrisy. You do not know them, but We know them.97 We will inflict double chastisement on them,98 and then they shall be returned to an awesome suffering. 97. They had become so expert in the art of hiding their hypocrisy that even the Prophet (peace be upon him) could not recognize them, though he possessed immense sagacity and insight into human nature; so Allah informed him about them. 98. This double chastisement will be the loss of their worldly advantages and the victory of the Islamic mission in the teeth of their opposition. Thus one chastisement shall be the loss of their worldly benefits for which they practiced deceptions and adopted hypocritical attitudes, and instead of gaining wealth, honor and prestige they shall meet with disgrace and utter failure. The second chastisement will be in the shape of the victory of the Islamic mission to defeat which they exerted their utmost by their machinations and plots. But the Islamic mission will come out successful in the teeth of their evil wishes, desires, intentions and vicious efforts and they themselves shall witness its victory to their utter despair, regret, grief and sorrow. وَاٰخَرُوۡنَ اعۡتَرَفُوۡا بِذُنُوۡبِهِمۡ خَلَطُوۡا عَمَلًا صَالِحًـا وَّاٰخَرَ سَيِّئًا ؕ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّتُوۡبَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ​ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ‏   [9:102] There are others who have confessed their faults. They intermixed their good deeds with evil. It is likely that Allah will turn to them in mercy, for Allah is All- Forgiving, Ever Merciful

Sahih Muslim 6628 Ibn Abbas reported: I was playing with children that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) happened to pass by (us). I hid myself behind the door. He (the Prophet) came and patted my shoulders and said: Go and call Mu'awiya. I returned and said: He is busy in taking food. He again asked me to go and call Mu'awiya to him. I went (and came back) and said that he was busy in taking food, whereupon he said: May Allah not fill his belly! Ibn Muthanna, said: I asked Umm Umayya what he meant by the word Hatani. He said: It means he patted my shoulders.

This man did not like the holy Ahle Bait.He first fought against Hazrat Ali R.A at the Battle of Siffeen.He also made Hazrat Imam Hasan R.A.give up his leadership.He also appointed his indecent son Yazid to succeed him and what happened after that is the massacre against Hazrat Imam Husain R.A. his family and disciples. If I have to choose between Muawiya and Ali I would rather choose Ali R.A.I don't curse Muawiya nor do I call him an unbeliever but I disapprove of his enmity towards Ahle Bait R.A.A.

It is for those specific moments only. For example, arabs used to say "May your mother lose you" or "May you lose your wealth" as a statement during simple conversations, not as a curse. Hope you get the point.

@@graphicunit yes even the Prophet (SAW) can say or follow the custom/tradition of people whether it be style of speech, clothes, food etc. For example, one time an old woman came to Prophet (SAW) and asked him to make dua for her for Jannah. Prophet (SAW) jokingly said old people do not go to Jannah. That doesn't mean the Prophet (SAW) lied infact it was a permissible joke which he later clarified (as in this case). Somethings have exception for normal people and Prophets as well.

Oh shia you don't need to accept muwyyah to be a sunni. This is not a condition for you to become a sunni or a Muslim, but you need to recognize the corruption in your own text. These are foundational corruptions of Islam that he prophet muhammad pbhu never taught and can never be proven with the quran, and ask yourself how has the quran been pasted down for many generations without corruption? This quran you hold in your hand. It is called mushaf Uthman. It all started with the companions of the prophet.

Unfortunately we have two extremes here those who justified muawiyyah radiallahuanhu mistakes and those who started insulting criticise him for his mistakes we muslim don't follow either of these two deviant through as muslim we acknowledge muawiyyah radiallahuanhu did make mistakes there is no denying that he made clear cut mistakes but unlike the others we don't insult him for his mistakes either or criticism him rather we take lessons from his mistakes to make sure we don't repeat them again same as the case of many sahaba who drank alcohol we don't criticism curse them for this rather take lessons from this they aren't far superior then us

Muawiya was opportunist and manipulative. When he died and left a throne to his son Yazid, that's when he proved what kind of person he was: the politician and monarch. And stop calling those people Sahabas. Most of them were monsters or very bad people or immoral. Maybe there should be a redefinition of who a companion is. The current one is too general and too broad

All sahaba were forgiven and promised jannah by Allah. Hence what they did is not to be judged by us..get that thru ur heads. Jzk what they did was correct.

Prophets dont make mistakes...sahaba made mistakes but Allah forgave them and guranteed them jannah and we have no say in what those "mistakes" were. Simple. We follow the sahaba head to toe, as they show us the sunnah of our beloved prophet pbuh

I don't find it funny that some people in the comments section decide to still dwell on history. The prophet (saw) said that there will be 73 sects in my religion, 1 more than that of the Christians, and only one will be granted jannah. The one who follows the Quraan and his Sunnah. So why are people fighting against each other about Sunnism, Wahabism, Shiite and Sufism. Isn't it clear by this hadith that the Kalimah should unite us all and our law should be The Quraan Al-Karim rather than the opinion of some scholars? How, then, can they be compared to the Kalimatullah Quraan? And mind you, Muawiyah was a companion of the prophet (saw) so let us not call him a pig and pass judgement hastily. Only Allah the Most Just will decide. Let us mind our tongues because it could be our downfall and can easily lead us into Jahanam.
