Exactly, that's why I hope muay thai (not to even mention muay boran) won't be in the Olympics, everything loses its specificity once included, Olympics have unfortunately become a big normalizing machine.
@@navigator4709 there's already Kickboxing that comes from Muay Thai, just put kickboxing In Olympics , keep ruining kickboxing and leave Muay boran/Thai alone.... Or accept it as it is.
That was phenomenal. Ive taken some muaythai classes here in the US, but cant say ive watched demonstrations like this. I have done capoeira for a few yrs and this definitely reminded me of how we would do demos in pubic spaces.
I am really excited your in paris. Promoting. Always Loved your material. My daughter is on a list to train there. Maybe 🙄. I may come myself in the near future.
Saluting the teacher (dance) before a fight indicates which camp you are from, which teacher you have studied with, and it is an important stretching of the body to reduce the excitement a lot.
Hate to say it but i dont think it will, Muay Thai is too brutal and IOC likes to keep it family friendly, unless we want to become like taekwondo or judo where you only try to score points
I like Muay thai but I’m scared of the fact it would be a Olympic sport because they are going to remove somethings im sure of that I hope they don’t remove things from this beautiful sport ❤
