MUCC is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in 1997 in Ibaraki.
Their sound incorporates a wide range of genres such as Rock, Punk, Metal, Electro, Folk, Ethnic,Kayōkyoku, Ska, Reggae and Jazz.
It has been highly evaluated not only in Japan but also overseas, and Asia tours and Europe tours are customary.
After appearing at the German metal festival ‘Wacken Open Air ‘ in 2005,
they went on the tour in Germany, France and the US.
Since then, they have played in the UK, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and Spain to Chile and Mexico in South America.
they have also succeeded on an Asia tour such as China and Taiwan.
In 2008, they participated in the ‘Taste of chaos’ tour, a gathering of loud rock bands.
They accompanied them on a 3 months tour in the US and Europe.
Besides, they have done the opening act for Guns N' Roses in 2007 and 2009 in Japan.
They planned to go on the tour in 5 European countries (Russia, Poland, Germany, France, UK) this year but it had to be canceled because of COVID-19.
The 15th original album ‘Aku’ was released in June.
It was ranked in the top 10 of Oricon weekly chart that is the first honor for them.
Moreover, they continued to work positively such as releasing 2 Videos of “～Fight against COVID-19 #2～『惡-THE BROKEN RESUSCITATION”, and “ ～Fight against COVID-19 #3～『惡-THE BROKEN RESUSCITATION』” , which were performed as a concert without audience as a video board in a few months.

1997年、茨城にて結成。
所謂ヴィジュアルシーンに身を置きながらも、ロック、パンク、メタル、エレクトロ、
フォークや民族音楽、昭和歌謡、スカ・レゲエ、ジャズにまで至る幅広い音楽性は、日本のみならず海外でも高い評価を受け、
アジアツアー、ヨーロッパツアーは恒例となっている。
2005年にドイツのメタルフェスティバル、Wacken Open Airに出演したのを皮切りに、
翌2006年にはドイツ・フランスへのツアー、アメリカツアーと二度の海外遠征を実施、以降、イギリス、スウェーデン、フィンランド、スイス、スペインといったヨーロッパ圏から南米チリ、メキシコなどでツアーを敢行し、また中国や台湾などでも公演を開催し、アジア圏でも根強い人気を持つ。
2008年にはラウドロックバンドが集結する「Taste of chaos」に参加、
アメリカとヨーロッパで3ヶ月にも及ぶツアーに帯同した。
その他、2007年と2009年に来日したGuns N' Rosesのオープニングアクトを二度とも務める。
2020年はコロナウィルスの影響で、ヨーロッパ5ヵ国(ロシア/ポーランド/ ドイツ/フランス/イギリス)でのツアーや、
その他予定されていたライヴが総じて中止となるが、6月に発売された15枚目のオリジナルアルバム「惡」がバンドとしては初のオリコンウィークリーTOP10入り、
また無観客配信ライヴとして行われた、
「～Fight against COVID-19 #2～『惡-THE BROKEN RESUSCITATION』」
「～Fight against COVID-19 #3～『惡-THE BROKEN RESUSCITATION』」
の二本の配信ライヴを数ヶ月で映像盤としてリリースするなど精力的に活動を続けている。
