Hi Mike, I don't want to tell ya how to do your job, BUT, ya might otta have drug the entire tree or as much as your skidding wench could pull, up toward the saw mill in tact and cut it in pieces up there. Those rounds are gonna be real heavy to move by hand. OH, I know, ya can get Malissa to bring the dogs down and have them drag those rounds up for ya . . . lol

Mike, I’ve always enjoyed your videos. And impressed by the time you put in making and editing them. But now the Melissa has started “ Firearms And Fashion Friday “ she is giving you a run for your money. Her editing skills have improved, and even incorporating drone footage. She come a long way from when she wasn’t sure if she wanted to appear in your videos when you first started, to being a RU-vidr in her own right. And let’s not forget “ Saturday Night Live with the Morgans.

You should collect some more of those big rounds and then create a giant checkerboard. You have to use the excavator to move your pieces and you already demonstrated how to king someone.

I spent all day using my 500i cutting 2” thick slabs outta rounds that were about 27” in diameter using an Alaskan Chainsaw mill and a 36” bar and chain... the best thing about the 500i in my opinion ... it starts on every pull ... so much better than my 661 magnum ... Mike, you make it look easy man ... love the content and the commentary ...

Mike with those really heavy loads sometimes you can actually rest them on your blade so if you hit a bump or if they are just super heavy you don't over tax or over pressure your hydraulics

I wanted to know about the 500i. I was picking up some parts last week and found out my dealer has a couple in the back for regular customers that ask.

Again Mike Morgan has outshined many others channels. You have an awesome skidding winch, but even better an excavator. Both seem to me to be top of the line. Then you pull out the 500i. You do know your stuff. What you did would have been so much hard work for most but you didn't even break a sweat! I wonder, do ants cause the rot, or do they move in after the rot has started? I was thinking when I saw the bark you should have fell the tree earlier, but I was wrong. You have so much good lumber there, just look at the dollar amount! Awesome. This was grand, just grand! How things have changed. Banks used to be happy to take your money, now you need an appointment. I opened up my first account when I was eleven, with no adult present. Everyone in the bank knew my name from seeing me with my mom. I took my daughter in to open an account and I had to convince the manager she was old enough. I would like to go back to the old times! need to put a chisel chain on your chainsaw cuts faster and stays sharper longer cant be cutting rocks and dirt if you had ported chainsaw it would have twice the power and more chain speed 11 7 2021

I sure like that excavator! It's a little on the pricey side, though. I might have to settle on getting a 500i instead. I'm retired and have 40 wooded acres. Just traded in my JD1025r on a new JD3046R. The projects that you inspire here sometimes require a little more tractor than what I had. I'm glad I have some place to go for information. That way, I won't have to make a bunch of mistakes before I learn the proper way to do things. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!

Jeez, Mike. I wish you'd stop promoting the 500i. I told my (large) dealer I wanted one when they were first introduced. He's got a total of 2 in so far - one that he kept for himself, and the other went to his friend who WAS a lifelong Husky fanboy. Not any more. Like you said, I can see one replacing a number of my existing saws.

It's funny, sitting here watching you cut that white oak, I could smell it. I guess because I know what it smells like. I have seen in other videos of folks that have a sawmill that cutting through the bark on a tree helps to dull the blade faster. Have good days!!

With covid, I get having to have an appointment. A couple of years ago I went to open a savings account at a credit union for which I was eligible. I couldn't get over the fact that they wanted to check my credit to deposit money. I didn't open the account. Have a productive day.

A lot more strength and lift capacity then the tractor. Break out force for digging makes the difference.

We had a white oak about the size of this one that if it fell would have destroyed part of out house. I wouldn't have been concerned but at the stump end you could see thru part of the truck some of my buddies that usually would do this said nope get somebody insured. All they left were the rounds which they stacked for me and sawdust. Speaking of rounds those rounds off of this white oak looked to be 250-500 pounds. Thanks for sharing your video with us. Hello Hunter. Ed a note to Eva hopefully you can get online banking but some banks because of the pandemic have had to resort to more fees we ran into that oh also mergers might cause this too. WE had accounts at SunTrust they merged with BB&T TRUIST and bank fees for us went up not by much but when they charge to move your money and hadn't in the past naw we exited them fast.

I'm a Case sales rep for construction equipment ( this the name Iron Man) and our CX80 is similar in size to the one that you have. So here's a suggestion when carrying heavy items like your logs. You might try resting the bottom of your bucket with the load in it on your dozer blade. It won't necessarily help your undercarriage but it will save wear and tear on your turntable and pins and bushings up the stick.

I use to skid logs out of the woods with my pickup truck . It had a 10,000 pound winch in the bed. One snatch block was used if the 10,000 pound winch wouldn't move the log. That increases the pulling power to 20,000 pounds. If that didn't work add another snatch block. That increases the pulling power to 30,000 pounds. The winch in the bed was used to load logs onto a trailer also.

I have a cool app called LogWeightPro. Seems pretty accurate. It says a 10’6 White Oak with an average 35” girth weighs about 5,100 lbs. Much heavier then the Cedar, Red Fir and Tamarack we cut here in N Idaho. Still enjoying your channel. We started watching when you were happy to hit 3000 subscribers. Thanks for the great videos!

I'am 70 and use either my 1958 homlite Zip saw with 24 inch bar or my 1963 homlite C51 with a 24 inch bar. But they can cut wood.

You just carried a few Grand's worth of premium lumber out of the woods with that mini excavator. Amazing 👍. That machine is going to pay for itself in no time at that rate 🙂.

Follow-up on the ONLINE recommendation - due to pandemic and labor shortages, appointments for service are becoming normal practice. I needed notary service recently and upon arrival at the branch, I was told that a notary person is only present a few days per week. They go to other bank branches to service 'appointments'. Even the UPS office has signage recommending appointments but they were able to perform the notary service immediately.

Appointment to open an account at the bank???????????? Ridiculous - open her account at a different bank. Geemanee!!!

A couple 2” thick slabs from the main log would make some really nice heavy duty live edge table tops for your covered patio area near the pool. The last tables you’d ever need there. Just do NOT make river tables out of them or I’m gonna unsubscribe! Lol...

Mike, that sounds like it should be your former bank. Here in Texas the banks would be at your door asking for business from your entire family. That's putting the customer first. It it was me, I would tell everyone the name of the bank .. then stand back and watch the boycott which would immediately begin.
