Victoria: "More than an 'andful's a waste!", Mel B: "Is this children' tv?" 😂 I love that they were so refreshingly real. Not like today's stars who chat about how 'real' they are but then spout off the same media-trained, evasive BS answers to every question they're asked. The Spice Girls were literally a force that no interviewer could control 😂
Let's clarify a point somebody is making in these comments. When the Spice Girls were first put together after that audition they initially were going to be a manufactured group. The two gentlemen that put them together were going to write all of their songs and put them together as a manufactured falsified image. They didn't want that so once Simon Fuller came into the picture they left the two guys and signed to Virgin with Simon and two new guys were hired that became their co-writers for their music. The Girls wrote all of their songs on every album they ever released and they crafted their own image. They were not a manufactured group once they hit it big. Simon Fuller was the greatest thing to ever happen to the Spice Girls even though they did sack him before going on the SpiceWorld Tour, they brought him back for the reunions.
VDJ Vivacity... Also it’s important to note that when the Spice Girls met with Simon Fuller they already presented him with 3 finished Songs they completed themselves. The First Song they wrote was Love Thing, Second Song was Say You’ll be there, and whichever was the Third Song it never got revealed publicly. Actually you can easily find the Demo Version of Love Thing right here on RU-vid which was the Version they presented. It’s truly an early Spice Classic. Love Thing was suppose to be their First Single, but they later wrote Wannabe and they went with Wannabe instead. Strangely even after that Love Thing never got a single release and I wonder why that is.
Also I think Victoria is still the same person if you follow closely, but she's been labeled so much people think she's a robot now, but she's not she's still very fun and smart
20 years since this video! Thanks for posting! Would love to see the 1998 interview, too. So much energy with these girls, they have magic together. All fresh-faced here! Too bad Melanie C didn't talk much but that's because she's pretty chill. lol
They are super lucky social media wasnt so huge back then of course news does go around and second they came out at a good time with the right song. I'm from Toronto am still a spice boy fan after 22 years!!
Amazing! They were the most entertaining music act EVER, they were hilarious without trying hard. Thanks so much for uploading! Is there any chance you could also upload the full episode from 1998? The one where Geri wasn't part of the band anymore and they performed a few songs live in the studio. That would be incredible.
The most powerful characters are Geri and Mel B ,Victoria has also a strong personality but she puts herself in back ,and doesnt talk ,but she can say one touchy word .
Im Steve from Australia and i would like to see you 5 girls power spices girls here in Australia i like the hole five off you and i love your music and i will keep on buying your music go girl power xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
They went through some bullshit stage of saying they knew each other from a young age. Read the autobiographys and you will know that's not true at all. It was Geri and Victoria who met at a movie audition and that was it
It kinda depends on how you interpret "young age" because this was them in their very early 20s and they had been together for 3 years at this point which is still young. Unless they specifically say they were children because that's different haha.
You are wrong, mel c still use tennis AND pants, victoria Is still Posh, Emma always sweet AND with her mom, mel b still scary, Ginger ITS the one ITS death. Hahaha
