I set mud crab pots / traps on a hot stormy afternoon in Northern Australia. The reward of a fresh seafood lunch and an afternoon enjoying the outdoors is as good as it gets! Hope you enjoy the video. #returnoutdoors #mudcrabs
Glad you enjoyed the video. I am more than happy to wash the boat and eat the catch to save you cleaning up the mess.👍I greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment. Cheers!
Gday mate well cant complain about that good feed of prawns and a couple of nice lolly pops for lunch ,finally got the boat in the water and have clocked up a whole 5 hours on the engine few small issues but nothing to major so two years of resto was worth it take care .
It must feel very good to be back on the water. Very rare to refit and repower any boat without a few teething problems. Enjoy your boating and fishing. Cheers!
Lovely ep and prawns and crab,, I do Utube to And our GoPro has lost so much footage over many trips as it shuts down when hot to. been told the DJI ones are better but not sure never used one.
Obviously a bit of rain has got the prawns running. At least it won't be a problem for those who are out fishing catching bait. Just hope this year is another great year for crabbing too. Thanks for another great video mate as you always put alot of work into each one with great content. 🦀🦀🦀🦐🦐🦐
In malaysia,we use shark meat as a bait if you use this method because it more eficient and stay longer and not waste chicken drum.I like your video and it make me want to hunt mudcrab again👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed. I agree my drawstring would have worked well but I was giving the new net a few throws. I am fairly certain they were juvenile Banana prawns. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
G'day Brad, the cast net must have just about paid for itself on its first trip out. And the cook up at the end, you certainly know how to make my mouth salivate. 😂😂 I was also wondering if the video was pre or post cyclone Kirrley? Keep up the awesome videos Brad, I enjoy watching and listening to your comments.👍👌🐟🦀🦐🎣🎣
The video was made after Cyclone Kirrily. In my local area we got very little rain from the system, resulting in very hot humid conditions. I greatly appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoy the videos. Cheers!👍
You sure can catch prawns at Magnetic Island but it is usually a small window of opportunity each year. Let me see what I can do! Thanks for your support. Cheers!👍
How are you liking the new net? and what size did you go for there? I finally got the Boat registered now and going to take it up to Torbanlea and Hervey Bay area on the shift swing to see what I can play with. one of my 4 year old Grandsons is coming over for the next two days so I will get him all fired up to get out there having fun on the water. Cheers Garry
The new net is very easy to use and is 8ft drop with 3/4 inch mess. Great to hear the boat is registered.👍 I am sure the Grandson won't take to much firing up to get him out on the water. Enjoy the time with your family. Cheers, Brad.
My apologies I looked at the wrong time in the video with my earlier comment. You are right I should have measured that crab! When I watched it back it definitely looked legal. Thanks again!
A top pocket or drawstring net would work well. I was just trying a new net not trying to catch a bucket full of prawns. I often throw a handmade drawstring net that you can view in my Barramundi fishing videos. Thanks heaps for your suggestion. Cheers!👍
