Turn the motor over, push the start button, it turns the motor over but will not start because the spark plugs are out, it pushes water out that may be sitting on top of the pistons
That Maverick was a complete beast in his first race, beat the other two racers by many lengths, he would have won this race easily if he didn't smoke his belt...but that's racing, everyone has a shot at winning as anything can happen, just glad it was our bud that came out on top!!!!
That course really shows the benefit of visco-lok. On that orange mud pro in the beginning, if you turn on the locking differential, you cant turn, and if you just leave it off, well you just dont have it. Can-am FTW!
Awesome video as usual Osta. Looks like you guys had a blast. Love the fact that regardless of what you ride you were still cheering on Daniel at the end. 900 xp ftw.
The Xmr will hillclimb much better with it's longer wheelbase, also it's setup for mudding right off the showroom floor, the Xxc will require thousands of dollars of mods to be a capable mudder
That was my wife racing...and we tried to mount a set of crush loks between heats but they did not line up properly...that was her first ever race...wished she could have ran a few times, she got better and better each pass through the pit after the racing was done
I would put them behind Can am and Polaris for power and durability. But the rider was 90% of it making it up there, did you notice no Ctas ever lock their front diff? lol. Just my 0.02 if a guy came accross a great deal they are still a pile of fun
Quadna Mountain is in Hill City Mn. It used to be a Ski Resort that went belly up now they race snowcross there in the winter an Run Mud runs in the summer the Town is 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids Mn an about 3 to 3.5 hours north of the Twin City's. It's on US HWY 169.The ski resort going belly up was the best thing to happen to the location.
Yeah I'll start the tear down process soon and get her ready for the the voyage north. I'll be in contact to find out a good weekend to come up and ride.
Sounds like an awesome bike, we all got rid of our heavy arse Outlaw 2's though...took way too much power away and were way too hard on drivetrain parts
I lived in North Texas for 4 years and never made it to Mud Nats. I kick myself every time I think about it. I may make a trip back down one of these years just to attend.
Looks like you had lots of fun there osta. I just bot a new quad a 2013 can am 1000 xmr with 29.5 outlaw 2 tires and snorkel kit, 2 inch lift kit and pro taper bars. and has the ss 212 blacks rims, built gas cap and hmf swamp series exhaust full system. Hope I can do that with my can am I just picked it up yesterday and going to a mud run in Manitoba lake with my uncles and there not going to be able to keep up they have honda 500`s and grizzly 550.
Really wow I guess I might get some outlaw tires not the 2`s but I will use the outlaw 2`s until maybe 500kms or 700. Any ways I was think of getting nicer rims then the ss 212 blacks maybe some beedlock one with the 29.5 outlaws thanks for telling me about that I guess I should have did more research on the outlaw 2`s.
osta should I get 27 inch silverback x-lites or 27 inch outlaws. I ride 60 40 the 40 being mud and the 60 being hard packed. so I will need a tire that is good on both. the only problem is that my mud is like your skeg but with more roots. because of this I cant get zillas because they don't have a good side wall, is what is your opinion
hey osta i swamped my xmr 1000 a couple days ago, the water killed it and i never bothered starting it up yet. i drained the oil, where the belt is, airbox, and my two hoses. What other suggestions do you have like change oil filter, spark plugs, gearbos fluids, and maby antifreeze? please help thanks
I looked real hard at a Scrambler but several things seemed out of place. In the end I felt like I was getting a better machine with the Can Am. It's one of those things that once seen, cannot be unseen. LOL
