The Rolling Stones took their name from a Muddy Waters song. Muddy Waters was one of their idols. There were probably a few hundred people at this gig...... but thousands will tell you they were there.

Rock N’ Roll is primarily a mix of rhythm and blues, and country. It’s what led to the creation of Rock, which is an entirely different genre, basically everything 60’s and up. The stealing part in Rock history’s is Elvis taking black Rock N Roll music and popularizing it to the general public (whites) and making all the money/fame off black musicians work. As well as Led Zeppelin straight up plagiarizing some black musicians’ music in the 60’s-70’s. The majorly influential bands that created rock like the Beatles, Stones, and Who all gave shout outs and recognition to the black artists who’s music they were covering. They didn’t steal anything. Being influenced by another’s work is not stealing and if anything should only be seen as a compliment.
